Chelsea did very well out of De Bruyne really, brought him for £7M selling him for £16M rising to £20M. He did well at Werder Bremen, but not that well!
Guess it shows how much the market value of players is dictated by the club they play for. Highly inflated if you ask me, but I guess a player is worth whatever the buying club is willing to pay. His reputation in Germany must be much better than it is here in England.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/25720354 Could be a really good signing for Stoke. I think he deserves a chance in the Premier League after his efforts at Feyenoord.
Personally don't understand why mourinho doesn't rate him. He's a brilliant player. Yes, Chelsea have a surplus of attacking midfielders, but de bruyne definitely warrants a place in their match squad at least. Really impressed me at Bremen, and in pre season he was Chelsea's most promising player (more so than lukaku!). Must be to do with work rate, otherwise I don't understand mourinho on this one.
Medical tomorrow morning according to Sky. Ridiculous signing IMO. Clear change of styles from Villa this season. Reverted to long ball.
Not sure.It could turn out to be desperation or a stroke of genius depending on whether Lambert can pull the kind of form out of him that he showed for us the first season in The Premiership.Agreed on the surface it looks like an odd move as he hasn't exactly performed wonders for Wigan.Don't rule out dramatic last minute winners/equalisers against unlikely opponents though, that goes with the Holt territory..
Yeah especially based on his recent form. Needs to get his scoring boots back on to justify that price.
