I found this video of Park Chu Young and think he would be a quality player to get. Available for around £6m due to Monaco being relegated. He can play off the shoulder of the defenders and has a great turn of pace, so a direct replacement for Ngog when he is sold. He can also play deeper, sitting just off Andy Carroll in the Suarez/Gerrard role. Some of his passes in this clip are amazing. While his backheels are very good, I feel they would be less effective in the EPL. But a welcome weapon to have nonetheless. I think we should definately get Connor Wickham as well, but maybe loan him straight back out for this season. It was rumoured that we would loan him back to Ipswich as part of the deal, which I'd be happy with. But if possible loan him to a premier league club. Thoughts everyone?
It wouldnt surprise me if we went for someone like him or Honda mainly due to the extra income it will bring in from the far east.
I'm sprised that Honda talks have not become more apparent since he vented his frustrations with CSKA
Park Chu Young at £6m is a good deal and he would make it all up just in shirt sales as pointed out. I reckon he'd be be great on the pitch too.
Basically, I agree with everybody else. Seems like a decent player and would make us a tidy sum in shirt sales.
i think Honda might have gone quiet due to no champs league or Euro footy at all and I think he still wants to compete in those types of competitions. Plus he would be double of PCY and they might see these two as being very similar.
