    La Liga not the best as for me there's only a handful of good teams, but he has stood out this season.
    Also he has played well for Portugal.

    It should still have come to the Toon.
    Must have been some sort of mistake with the voting papers to the leave The Shola off the nominations.

    I think he's probably deserved it, if only because he should have won it by now instead of it going to Messi year after year.
    The fascination with Real And Barcalona seems set to continue even though Bayern have overtaken them.
    Personally, I though Ribery should have won the award.

    Ribery doesn't catch the eye as much as the others, he's more of an ankle catcher.

    Joking aside right deserved the best player in the world at the moment and ahead of messi now what he did for Portugal was superb.

    No surprise nobody from the premier league got in the team of the year award
