    Does anyone really care?
spanish press have been banging on about it for months!

As this is off topic (Leeds), any other topic is wellcome, wums included!

B.T.W. W.T.F. Is Messi wearing? Surely he earns enough to buy some decent clothes, not something that looks like it's from Burtons from the eighties.

    Over to yous.

He's been injured though. Agree about ronaldo, bit of a cock but he had a great year footy wise.

Ey up lads, the pikey is a total knob, but footballing wise he's amazing, use both feet and head, score from 30yards etc,and is very rarely injured.
Messi is class but same injury 4 times this year(do barca use our medical team?)
As for ribery the bloke is just ugly.

I vaguely remember watching a doco on messi a few years back and it was saying that he has serious injury problems constantly, he has to put so much extra work in on the training ground and with the medical staff to ensure he is fit for every game. They said its bound to catch up with him later in his career (although I think they were talking around 30s)

<laugh> great reason for a player not to get the Ballon D'or

Probably all that growth hormone they injected him with as a teenager...

Done my research on it, injected growth hormone has side effects whereas produced by ones own pituitary its fine

    He didn't grow a lot!!!
Seriously tho,a lot of fans ask for lightweight players to 'bulk up'
Which as young men given decent nutrition and training is not difficult.
The problem is,muscle builds very fast, ligaments and tendons dont,
So the knee for example will have to carry an extral lot of enertia, due to twisting and turning and the upper body being heavier, hence bad injuries.
One example,Ronaldo, told to bulk up,he did ,cruciate ligament injuries followed.
