Nikica Jelavic - Now official: he's signed

Jelavic's chance conversion rate fell from 29% in his first half season with us, to 10% last season.

This is nothing to do with Mirallas failing to pass & everything to do with Jelavic being totally off form.

Because he has said he will come to the club. Unless there's an Austin-like failure of the medical, then he's ours.

 

Great post Mark and thanks for the excellent info on our new Croatian signing. We have desperately needed a striker who can put the ball in the net on a regular basis and Jelavic looks and sounds like a player who can do the job. Very exciting times for our club.

Although my name on here is Canada Tiger, as I have a home on Salt Spring Island in British Columbia where I live most of the year, I'm actually an American who was born in Hull and grew up in Beverley near Hull. I've lived most of my life in Santa Barbara, CA. Where in LA do you live? I've just got back from spending Christmas with five of my kids and their families in LA/Palos Verdes. One of my sons lives in Beverley Hills on Palm Drive. Anywhere near there?
