    ...was a complete ****er.

    From the facebook page:

Unfortunately it seems the highest bidder for Tom's hair was a time waster. Those of you who came close in the auction should Keep an eye out on your eBay accounts!

You'd think that when you bid in these things there'd be some obligation to fulfill your bid.

I wonder if he thought he was just pushing the price up then got stuck with the music stopped. Maybe had good intentions - to raise more money - but if so, be prepared to pay the money!!

What a ****, hope the runner up was close and not about half price. Then again i'd be annoyed if i was in a bidding war with this chap and it could've been £2grand or something

They will probably go back to the last bid that was between 2 people who were not the asshole. So if it was 2k and that dude knocked it up to 6k it will only cost 2k to buy it.

This is why it's farcical allowing someone to bid without actually committing the money. How many people might have waited to see how cheap they could get it but refrained when it reached £5k for example? How will those bids be considered?

They will just have to ask people who bid if they are still willing to buy it. The ahole ****ed it up for sure. Its ebay though. You can create an account and do what they did fairly easily.

You can't bp up the bid by 2k as eBay decide the increments and you only take your bid just Over the previous one even if you bid a lot more in reserve.

The failed bidder below should be over 6k easily. Unless
They were wasting time as well.

Point being if this guy who won had been bidding for a while, then they'd have to go back to before he bid anything.

and then if they do that, others may have wanted to keep going. May have to just start it again.

eBay is binding and these time wasters do get punished one way or another.
