As someone who was born less than a mile from Church Road, you're really making me think long and hard about this one. Perhaps I should get off your board now and go in search of a feed for Leamington v The Villagers for Tuesday evening.

Where were you born, BCC? Perhaps I'll go and start up a team called Hull Tigers with no history somewhere between there and the KC. Then you're going to have a decision to make. Why do you have such a love of Inter? Were you born in Milan?

Bummers mate, what would happen if City played Inter in a European game?

It's just as likely as City playing Ferriby in a league game or even a cup game for that matter.

Especially after we win the FA Cup.

Apparently Ferriby need to get their ground improvements done by 31st March this year to avoid an immediate relegation (well, in the summer anyway) back to wherever they came from last year, regardless of where they finish.

And on top of that, if they get it sorted in time and then get promoted to the conference, they'd have to make further improvements for next season before a certain date to avoid getting relegated.

Anyone heard anything about this? It's a bit second hand where I heard it but sounded reliable.

They won't get relegated, they'll just have to move grounds or face a points penalty and a fine. They've got the money to do it and as far as I know, they're going to go ahead with it. A temporary stand is to be constructed where the car parking spaces in the ground are and two extra turnstiles are being added to where the gate is. They're also toying with the idea of expanding the seating in the main stand to include another row of seats. It'll end up looking something like Nuneaton Town's ground, for anybody who's been there.

    The Allam's Plan B ?
Help finance NFU & get 'em into the Football League.
    New stadium in Melton.
Could Hull & district & catchment area support 2 Football League teams ?

Hmm, really not the same is it? Were North Ferriby founded after you started supporting City?

If someone asks me who I support its Hull City. I then say I also have a fondness for Inter and had a season ticket one season, but Ive never even looked at an Inter fans forum nevermind posted on one whereas I probably post on here every day. I hope that clears that up for you.

I started supporting them when Milan were the dominant team in Europe and Italy, when they got to something like 4 European Cup finals out of 5 or whatever it is. I liked their nastiness - whereas Milan were beautiful with the magnificent Dutch trio playing a brand of football the world had never seen Inter were horrible with the steely german trio and a tendency to score and then play a ruthless catenaccio. I was also attracted to the glorious failure of Inter. No team in history has ever managed to f**k up so many situations and grab defeat from the jaws of victory. It was therefore really odd when they did start winning and happily they've now reverted to type.

It'd be the perfect game for me. I couldnt lose.

I had my season ticket under Mancini.

So at the end of all this nobody has even attempted to answer my question about when they become a rival.

    Brilliant.

In the year 2048. Until then we can just enjoy a local Club with strong links to City having some relative success. Now **** off my thread.

Oh sorry I thought I had.

Hull City- Professional football team currently in the Premier League looking likely to establish themselves in said league.

North Ferriby- Semi professional village team striving to make it to the top tier of non league football.

Poles apart and that's about as close as the two teams will ever get.

I don't see how you can question anyone having an interest in a local amateur/ semi pro team yet support an Italian side?

Eh? Where did I do that? I wasnt having a go at anyone for supporting Ferriby. I asked what I thought was an entirely reasonable question.

And I really dont see how anyone can just dismiss it saying 'it wont happen'. Did Bradford fans think as they were in the Prem that about 5 years later they'd be fighting to stay in the entire league? It could happen to us and Ferriby could get in the Conference very easily and then there would be one league between us.

I'm not going to get into a barny with you about it mate because I think you're a decent poster and probably a decent bloke, even if you do look like Olly Murs, not sure of the spelling there.

When you asked what the difference was between going to see Ferriby at Wembley to going to see Man Utd or Liverpool kind of suggests you're questioning the validity of going to see/ support Ferriby.

Maybe I read it wrong but that's how it came across to me.

I didnt mean it as an insult at all. The question I responded to was 'how many City fans would go to see Ferriby at Wembley?'. It wasnt how many Ferriby fans would go and see them. That to me seemed similar to following any team you dont nroamlly follow as soon as they get a bit of success AND That was what I was getting at with my 'Man Utd' question.

And therein lies the internal dilemma for me. My first ever visit to Wembley was 24th May 2008. I missed Ferriby's defeat to Whitby in the FA Vase over a decade earlier, despite being at Church Road for several games in their cup run.

I guess I'm one of those plastics who missed my own team's visit to Wembley but latched on vicariously to City's success.

Hopefully Ferriby can get promoted this season, start playing some southern teams and I can get to some away days.

Great result for the Villagers. Who saw that result coming then ? Not many including NFU themselves i bet ? Lol.

Stay away from Cambridge/Luton and Grimsby in the Qtr Finals (played w/e of 1st feb) and NFU should be able to match and beat anyone of the rest.

A home and away semi final against Grimsby Town would be perfect as the area would then have a Wembley finalist.

Promotion to the Skrill Premier should no longer have any fears if it is attained come May. Well done again NFU.

The Draw for the Qtr Finals has been made. NFU get a home draw against Gosport.

    1)Havant & Waterlooville v. Aldershot Town

2)Eastleigh v. Cambridge Utd or Luton Town.

3)North Ferriby Utd v. Gosport Borough.

4)Grimsby Town v. Tamworth or Chorley.

NB. Possible NFU v. Grimsby Wembley final.

Tie to be played w/e of 1st fed. Hull City @ home to Spurs.

Great draw. Do they still play the semis at league grounds?

    Semis *giggle*

Thinking to what Bummy said, what struck me is Luton is in there too, and for a while they were my most hated team as they seemed our main rivals and in fact, bogey team, with that whinging scouse twat they had a manager. ****ty ground too.

Doesn't take much for a reversal of fortunes when you think about it.

Gosport next to bottom of Conference South. Long journey up for them, NFU every chance of progressing. I haven't been to Ferriby for years. I used to go when they were in The Yorkshire League many years ago (late 60s, early 70s). In the days before I was allowed to go to away games on my own I would head down if City were away and Ferriby at home. I have followed their results ever since because of that, and the long list of ex-Tigers that have played for them.
