I am rather concerned now that having watched the final episode of Poirot and looking forward to the last of the recent three episode series of Sherlock that our good guys have started killing the villains.

Has something happened to the morality of our heroes and that it is now ok to kill the bad guys?

Has this seeped into main stream drama from those video games some of you young guys like to play?

If so then I am very worried.

It depends, I believe, on how your system is set up. You can be generating your own electricity and yet be tied to the grid. What you don't use is sent to the grid and le gods of electricity pay you. There are systems where you can be independent of the grid, tied in or a bit of both, and it is all recorded.

In my ideal, keep-the-planet-habitable-for-animal-life scenario, every household would be issued with sufficient solar panel arrays, and wind turbines to be comfortably energy rich. There would be no need to build new, but obsolete, nuclear power stations, so far away from homes that the resulting output would only be about 40-50% of what it was when it was generated [you think we get the whole motherload..?].
In fact, the UK could become the world leader on solar photovoltaic panel manufacture if it wanted to be, with the general British public as its main customer, and being so geared up for such a big market, they would be competitive across the world. Too radical..? Or shall we have those nuclear power stations that are probably obsolete even now, and certainly will be by the time they produce their overpriced electricity..?

12th Dec I flew to Manchester and found out the next day I needed to be in Gloucester. Today I arrive at the airport and can't board... because I booked my flight for the following day. FML.

Ah, Ok. You did used to entertain us occasionally with the odd story of newly unearthed Anglo-Saxon. :)
