Sorry lads, had to start work sometime. I have used Foucault's work on occasions but he hasnt been my main focus point. His ideas regarding discipline and a new set up of soldiers(that they could be made and not picked based on current skills) are true and cannot be denied, and now find themselves being used in most western societies however it's not really new is it? Anyone can come up with that, pretty basic, but some of his other texts were a very helpful source. I have found his work interesting, and almost always use his texts, but his work is mirrored by many.

I've got to confess that I have never studied the works of Debord, so can't compare the two. However, I've got to agree with you regarding the French intellectual scene. They have, for a long time now, been given a far more prominent place in society in comparison to their British counterparts.

Had to do it again,what a delight, what a laugh, been trying to explain to my next door neighbour, who is83, why I am laughing, she has not got it yet, but she has no Enflish and my Dutch is limited, to say the least, but she will ask again in the morning, maybe just maybe.
