Morning Peeps, McDermott is going to appeal to the FA to get Matt Smiths red card overturned. The 24 yo forward got sent on sixty seconds after coming on as a second half substitute but was adjudged to have elbowed Reda Johnson, it was a harsh decision to say the least. The thing that got me about the defeat was the lack of passion and determination. I have watched the highlights on several occasions and cannot believe what I am watching. As the Wednesday forwards sprint forward, the Leeds team are jogging back, just like the runners you see on a Sunday morning. I could not see any passion, any determination, any 'I must cut out this goal' It was leisurely. If McDermott were to pick eleven people from the travelling supporters, I can guarantee they would have shown more heart and passion. Who knows, it may not have been as bad as 6-0. There are further questions that need to be answered! Why has McCormack gone off the boil? Why does Austin have to play every game, he's knackered Whats happening with Diouf? Why hasn't Warnock featured in two months? Where's Green, he can't be any worse? What has happened to Byram? Why was Pearce wearing a replica shirt on Saturday, and why did he forget to take the tag off please log in to view this image So, where do we go from here? What do we need? How long do we give McDermott, surely to the end of the season?
Morning Elland and all. Fair to say more questions than answers. Like most, I had a rotten weekend and spent far too much time dwelling on this fiasco. I'm going to adopt a different attitude to the remainder of the season. It's clear the bulk of the team are useless, McD can't motivate them, new takeover is a sham with no real money available for proper signings. Conclusion, season long over. Having accepted that fact, results from here in don't matter a whole lot so roll on next August when a lot of our ****e will be gone and replaced with ?. Up all night and still didn't find shaks btw. Gh credit card didn't work either
Morning all Saturday was humiliating, worse that the Rochdale defeat in my eyes. Diouf is meant to be having talks about his future with the club, if true I expect to him to be gone by the end of the month. The Warnock question is something I've been asking myself for the last few days.
In a nutshell Eire, a long time since i have seen a performance like that, lost interest i am afraid to say.
I agree with Eire our season is over yet again in January. No money, no heart and not bothered, thats what I saw on Saturday and felt disgust at it. The manager has a lot of explaining to do and its no good blaming the dross. Any player pulling on a Leeds shirt after the Rochadle debacle would want to make up for it ....... Well they didn't and were even fooking worse. Mowatt and Austin should have been dragged off after 15-minutes and by half time I was fuming because that display was abject. I have to say that I was surprised at the fans patience with the manager as i read no calls for his head, which is a testament to how he has communicated with the fans, but our patience grows thin. We are being laughed at ......
Warnock wasn't playing because he got injured or suspende and Pugh kept his place. However, given that Pugh's tardiness getting out of defence for the first goal was the start of the horror show, I suspect Warnock will be back in for the Leicester game.
In that case Elland, he may have been dropped although I think he may have been injured for one game. Pugh then kept his place when Warnock was fit again. As I've said elsewhere, I think Warnock will be back for the Leicester game.
Morning all I see you have not been on JA606 then. What some fans fail to see is that changing the manager all the time dose not make things better. It will work for a few months, then all goes belly up and we have to start all over again. As our fantastic owner are skint, it will take somewhere between 3-5 years before a manger will have been able to get the players he don’t want out and bring in players he would like. But we all know a manger at Leeds will never last that long before he gets sacked. What the owners need to do now is grow some stealballs and stick with the manger and give him the opportunity to build a team.
I read the following quote somewhere and think it's apt. "Are we a fanbase who wants to live on past glories or are we a fanbase that wants to win titles" It's clear to me our supporters are divided into these two categories. I am firmly of the wanting to win titles again and will not accept dross from players and management and spin from owners
Hello all - Thoroughly fed-up with the whole situation at the club, it isn't going to change any time soon and I am confused about the money situation and if the manager is getting his first choices in or not. I thought we had money when we signed Murphy for a big fee then January arrives and we can't afford Wells and we sign two loan players who will be free in the summer. After being linked with Wells, Sharpe, Gradel and co is it demoralising.
I think BM thought so to The new owners at Leeds have spent less money on player than Bates did. I have totally stopped believing that any new owners Leeds would get will spend any significant amount of money to get players in.
Although I was as confused as anyone by Mcd's tactics on Saturday I firmly believe we have to stick by him. The two most successful managers in England are Wenger and Old Red Nose, they were given the time. Old red nose was not an instant success either. Mcd is a very clever man and he knows what is needed to fix our squad. As many have stated we need to get rid of a lot of deadwood asap ad then start the rebuilding. I would love to see a team which was very academy oriented mixed with a few shrewd signings for next year. Time heals all wounds and time is what we need now. I would rather have a couple more seasons in the Championship and then go up and be competitive. The club is recovering from the cancer that was Bates and all that went before. Like cancer victims who are lucky enough to get the all clear we cant expect to go back to full strength straight away. We need to recover, regroup and come back stronger than ever.
