The only ban worth the time and trouble is one that blocks his IP address. User-names, e-mail accounts etc. are all too easy to change & reinvent, although are resident imbecile gets no points for originality on that score. Unless it is possible to block his access to this group - and some boards do have that facility - bans are meaningless. Thank God for the ignore function so I don't have to read anything it posts.

Morning guys. I have found that the people like our friend only want one thing, attention and we have a few on this forum. Blocking the IP address seldom solves the problem and by far the best solution is to leave him to come back under a new user name but tip me off by PM, thats what a mod would do. I then ban him. He still comes back, he takes the time to register then post, none of us read what he says and it takes me seconds to ban him. He will say he cares not but I know he gets very frustated and we all laugh at the numpty. The last thing I try and do is understand him, if you could you should be worried, he is no longer offencive he is just very, very sad, to be pitied.
Disagreeing on Argyle matters is one thing, so is a bit of heated banter and general slagging off. In fact it all went to making the old Argyle 606 one of the most entertaining and interesting boards on the entire BBC. Personal attacks aimed at peoples family and such like from any side of the fence is just silly and should stop or be ignored. Joe, I sympathise fully with your situation with your son. I have a daughter who was born with a syndrome and also have spent many weeks/months in various hospitals including Southampton. It places an enormous drain and strain on your family and is not to be taken lightly by anyone. Mexijan I think MR Reid is actually MRS Reid but apart from that I absolutely agree with your comments. I even agree with devonsurfer which is rare indeed however there are extenuating circumstances in my defence this time. But just for balance, sod off devonsurfer nobody loves you.
