Taken from the beeb -

Liverpool's victory against Stoke in August was the first of three successive 1-0 wins for Brendan Rodgers' side. However, the Reds know from experience that the Potters are tough nuts to crack on home turf - Liverpool have lost their last three Premier League games at the Stadium of Light.

Correct me if I'm wrong but don't Stoke play at the Britannia? <doh>

Not one for taking too much notice of stuff written in the Fail but....as openings to match reports go this one is more amusing than most of the dull ****e written:

Finally, five months into a tempestuous debut season in charge of Manchester United, David Moyes demonstrated the managerial genius so many of us were beginning to doubt.
He did so, in a 2-0 win over Swansea, by utilising a tactical ploy that could revolutionise the game the world over, a move so daring and stunning in its simplicity that it threatens to turn football logic on its head. Just give the opposition the ball… and let them keep it.

United had only 39% possession against Swansea <laugh> Their worst on record......hooooooooof.

If the stat is true (and I've done **** all research you understand) then it's quite mad that even when City beat them 6-1 (<diva>) they had more possession than they did on Saturday. Despite the result, and even knowing Swansea are a very good possession team that's a stat that would genuinely worry me especially from a home game.

  8. What I'd find extremely worrying is it sounds like a Woy win type statistic and even by his standards it would be poor!

So did I, but not the 3 against. 'You score and we'll score more' doesn't always apply against the better teams, though Stoke are tough at home.
