I disagree mate. If you looked at his posts yesterday in the match thread he was positively glowing when Ipswich were on top but when we started whipping them his posts became noticeably less gleeful. Grifter spotted that yesterday too. Everything he said about the game turned out to be false and he was well pissed off about it. NY is spot on here IMO.
No way Swords and NY, you are wrong about Flyer....I have stood next to him...it may be like going with Eeyore to a match but he is 110% blue and white hooped. He is also allowed his opinions, as you are yours, which I must say he usually makes without too much name calling....unlike a few others around here You may not like what he says, you may find him negative....but he has every right to say it...like Oddball during his "everything is magic" phases. Never said he wasn't Betts. Equally though, when he keeps making controversial opinions, he's going to attract negative criticism. I realise there's an off-board dynamic to your defending of Flyer and that's fair enough. That's another issue. What I don't understand is that, if he was genuine, why didn't he hold his hands up at full time yesterday and admit he got it wrong? Every single thing he predicted about that match - team-selection, player's positions, substitutions etc - turned out to be wrong yet instead of saying so, he started backtracking and making excuses. At least the likes of COL for example will give credit where its due, including to the Manager. Flyer on the other hand wants it both ways; he's right if we lose and he's right if we win. That's not sustainable Betty and people are starting to get a bit peeved with it.
The off-board dynamic is simply I saw how delighted/relieved/emotional he was at the last minute Austin winner against Donny. That is could not be put on, in that split second...he was as "raw" as I was.
