    City score. Then…

Tiote scores a screamer and the linesman gives an offside, shocking decision.

    Game boiling over now <ok>

Non-active offside rule applied for the first time ever to the benefit of the richest team in the league shock

Should have been a goal, but I have no idea what Pardew is crying about, not like he saw it from where he was standing.

Some really poor ref/linesman decisions this season, this is just the latest.

When someone spanks the ball in from 35 yards you don't usually need to be running the line to see they weren't offside <ok>

Worst of it is it is not the only shocking decision today, ref is awful(for both sides), as is the linesman who gave offside, however I still blame the ref as he has the control, clearly he thought it was a goal and he was in a better position to see if Hart Was impeded, which he clearly wasnt

That's not the question though. The linesman likely felt it took a touch from one of the three Newcastle players behind the defensive line, hence offside. Failing that, could have been the blocking of vision of Hart from one of those three, but the ref could have noticed.

Which is impossible for Pardew to spot, but he'll cry all the same.

Should have been a goal mind you...

Things like these decisions is one of the many reasons why football is so amazing.

It didn't take a touch and no one was blocking the view.

The linesman didn't flag and the referee only disallowed it after the City players surrounded him.

The linesman didn't raise his flag though. It was only when the Man City players started appealing that the referee went over to the linesman and decided to award the goal. Which stinks because players appeal all the time, it shouldn't change your opinion of something.

Can't blame the linesman. Probably said they were in an offside position, however the ref should have seen it didn't take a touch and he wasn't interfering with Joe Hart as was the other side of the ball so no obscuring his view.

What makes it strange is the linesman didn't flag.. the ref didn't blow. It was only when the City players complained and the ref went and had a chat to the linesman they changed their mind. If they both thought it was fine in their own minds... how when they talk together did they both manage to change their minds?

    I know. I'm not disputing otherwise <doh>

I'm just saying I have no idea what Pardew is crying about when he can see f**k all from where he's standing. It's like when they (all managers) cry other penalty decisions for/against when, again, they can't see a thing from the dugout. Annoys me.

From words said to ref at end of half it looking like the linesman did not give it, which actually makes it an even more shocking decision as it clear where ref was that no one in line of view. Not sure if I on right game but i am sure there was a game where yakubu stood in front of reina and the shot was straight and the ref still did not say it was interfering and i will bet every team has those, but as someone alluded to earlier this is the second decision in a few weeks where it has gone in cities favour.
Two teams that have the potential to put up a good game against city, three including the arsenal games and major decisions go in their favour
    Drives me potty

He can see there was no flag from the linesman and no whistle from the referee so why should a goal suddenly become not a goal because City players whine?

Mike Jones is also the ref who was demoted for not knowing the rules and letting the beach ball goal stand.

Back to the Championship again next week then <ok>

He's the biggest gobshite in the league in that regard

    I'd love to drop him

Quality dive from Santon there, absolutely no contact. Couldn't be clearer, actually, but the ref missed that too and give the diving twat a free kick.
