Eh...aye they were . Do you honestly think they their Scottish parents identified their child as Irish from day one... no, I don't think so either... As that would be madness . they were born Scottish ... That is fact no matter how you try to spin it. They decided to change it when they decided to select an identity when older...probably when football got involved.
So you are placing some weight behind what passport they hold as a means of identifying their nationality. Both have been involved with the Ireland set up since they were 15 or thereabouts. Now neither of us know whether either of them place any stock at all in a document that is essentially a necessity to get on a plane in terms of identifying thier nationality. We do know they are Irish citizens who chose to play for Ireland.

yes...normally in later life. Not from when they were born ... both born in Scotland , to Scottish parents, raised in Scotland ..they were Scottish until they changed this identity. im just repeating a point to counter a point you are repeating ....
