NO. The players are steadily settling into the Gus Poyet system and everyone can see the massive improvements in performance over both last season and the PDC reign. We're hitting form just at the right time and we're over that horrendous fixture hurdle we had earlier in the season. We have a lot of very winnable games against the teams around us, a lot of who are utter ****e at best. WE WILL SURVIVE (and we might even get to Wembley)
I've lived through enough relegations in my time to come to the conclusion that this does not feel like one of them..
Voted no the last time a poll asked this, and voted no now. Even at our worst we were never cast adrift, a lot of it was down to the horrific run of fixtures.
No. In appointing Gus Poyet we have a manager that is tactically astute, is a great man-manager and actually uses substitutes to change games. Never seen that here before, to be honest. For this reason alone we'll stay up. And, who-ever instigated the current fitness regime, when was the last time the injury list was so short (and didn't include Wes Brown)?
Not a chance, I said to my mag mate after the way we played against Fulham in the opening game at the SOL that we would finish top half and do the double over Newcastle (we have a bet on that bit). Top half is out of the equation now but as I have always banged on, get to 40 points as quickly as possible (although I think safety will be much less than that this year), we need a further 23 points to get to 40 with 9 winnable home games coming up.
It will be a close run thing, but only once did i get really concerned about our plight immediately after the Villa game. Our form is very, very good and i think there is even more/better play to come from us in the second half of the season. So no.
Agreed. Was really down after the Villa game. We are winning points away and thats crucial. We just have to turn our home league performances around and we are sorted. Welder check out our fixtures for Feb and March. Feb is really tough but if we can hang on in there March looks very promising.
I haven't changed my view from a month ago (5th December) on another thread: We will not be relegated, and I'd be surprised if we're in the bottom 5 at the end of the season.
My eggs haven't hatched so I'm not counting my chickens..... BUT..... Without actually casting a vote...... I think we'll be ok!!
That's why I put it up. It's been a month and 2 days since I last asked this question. The difference in mentality is staggering. As a Northern Soul fan the I hate the term KTF being thrown about by our fans especially as on the whole there is none.
