Directions to the Cottage - Help

Hi All, do any of you know of any buses that would run from Putney Station in the direction of Stevenage Road/Craven Cottage on match days?

I know its about 1.5 miles away and we would walk it, but have a youngster with us so don't want to take the risk

 

WDWW, there's a 74 or 220 from Putney Bridge along Fulham Palace Road. But a walk in the park is a delight, and perfectly safe.

 

I think the 430 is your bus, and if you walk down Putney High Street a bit the 74 too. If you're at the Putney End get off at Bishops Park Road I think, the Hammy End take the stop past that.

 

Act like a salmon and go up river. We're on the right.

 

I take it there is a gate at the end of Bishops park by the bridge then?

 

There are steps down from the bridge into the park.

But I like DR's idea best!

 

I've tried thumbing a lift from one of the sailing boats but it just went round and round. If you swim it's hard to manage the grappling hooks to get into the ground, although when you do I think you are right in one of the hospiality boxes.
