    No.

It's a really boring pointless question.

Back in the day, Ferriby were highly populated with aging ex-tigers. People like Andy Flounders, etc. They also had a pitch side clubhouse bar, a great food van and were cheap. If City had no match we used to go for a drink in the Duke then onto the ground for a fun few hours of alcoholic abuse, ex-tiger admiration and some football. They were totally **** at football but it was a great afternoon out. The strong ex-tigers link is often lost on some of the newer supporters to Hull City.

Now, they have gone up a large number leagues and are pretty much as local as you can get for Hull. Possibly, aiming for the FL. It's interesting to watch and as they are near as damnit Hull, I hope they go all the way.

NFU are the closest club to me, I haven't been to see them recently(not since our pre-season), but I have been regularly in the past.

I love the fact that a village team are doing so well and they really are a good team(one of many good teams, they also have kids teams at many levels).

You should be a fan Happy, they're an Allam family team.

If I lived locally, I probably would. I've obviously heard about them, but in no detail, and in all honesty never felt a need to research them, but they've kept cropping up more and more recently hence my curiosity. Thanks for helping fill in some of the blanks about the team too. Did someone say they're about to break into the Football League?

They're top of the Conference North, they could be in the Conference next season, just one season away from the football league.

For many the second club aspect will be down to the Billy Bly trophy pre-season match - it has been going on for ages.

And for all of us from the West Hull side, whether you live in Hessle, Anlaby, Ferriby Swanland or one of the Ellas it's a team on your doorstep that are doing extremely well.

I went to Uni in Lincoln during the Chris Sutton and dropping out of the league days, I think I went to about four good games at Sincil Bank in my 3 years - their fans had it tough, and still do by the looks of it.
For a part of our course we were encouraged to report on local games at the weekend if we could get press passes, I found Ferriby a lot more welcoming than Lincoln were, nice to see a little bit of justice on the pitch!

Heard somewhere that NFU are planning to use Craven Park next season if promoted.

Plausible solution to their ground issues, naturally.

My visit today was to watch The Tynesiders (Gateshead FC), it was a good little outing. Not a bad game and no problem standing. If you want to look up a club with a a history of name-change, relocation and general turmoil, look these boys up on Wiki.

Great result for the Villagers, no easy games anywhere, so when you win like that then enjoy it. Does anyone know this: did NFU (not the National Farmers Union); need investment, were they actively looking?

There's more to football than PL <ok>

They're practically Hull's second team. Not big enough to be rivals but nice little neighbours.

You should definitely go see the Billy Bly Trophy some time. It's the perfect way to start pre-season.

    Spot on mate.

A team coming from a village of less than 4000 beating a team from city with a population of around 100,00.

I don't know of one city fan who sees Ferriby as anything other than a local amateur team who are something to be proud of.

It's full of posh f**kers in Ferriby and we 're not too keen on riff raff but it really is just a suburb of Hull, it would be seen as such in any other large city.

I might have to refer back to my old user name if this success continues.
