I'm sure like a lot of others you'll be praising the rule change if Hamilton comes out on top.

hmm funny I was just reading what El_Bando said earlier today about people supposedly getting banned mainly because of how they treat other forum users, particularly when it comes to insults (I guess as it says so in the rules section), so far you've already repeatedly called me a "Wazzock" and "Demented", seems to be a habit of yours as I've been informed of your previous antics such as labelling a friend of mine a "crap troll" almost as soon as he arrived (hmm funny it looks like that's in the rules section as well).

Rather odd, seems like one of the main site mods may need to be informed about this little area of the forum regarding how the supposed rules are enforced, and the way it welcomes new users, which strangely there seems to be a complete lack of.

Inform away... because I really couldn't give a monkeys chuff what you want to do to try stir the pot again, because unlike you, I have plenty of things in my life outside of online activity that give me pleasure, so I can survive being banned from here. Unlike you, who's sad pathetic existence seems to revolve around acting like a butt-hurt spoiled little brat on an internet forum.

So go tell the big mods if that's going to make you happy and provide you with some kind of pathetic validation for your existence. Because... I really couldn't care less one little bit. :)

    Jog on!

Bhaji is a good guy on this forum who has a great sense of humour and likes to discuss F1. Unlike yourself vfp who has nothing to offer to this forum other than being an irritant. Have a happy New year...

I thought that the rule changes were to stop Newey winning?

Don't get me wrong, I don't hate Vettel, I don't like some of the things he does, just like I don't like some of what Hamilton does also, but for instance, Jenson is an ok driver who has won a world title in a car way more advanced than the field, and maybe he would have won another if the rules weren't changed. But was it more so Jenson or the car? And I am willing to bet that if Hamilton, Vettel, Alonso or Kimi were in the Mclaren this year they would have done much better. Was mclaren's disaster totally because of the car? Was the feedback from Jenson moving the car in the wrong direction? I think a great car is 80 percent of the job done and a good driver should win in a great car. And I think Vettel is a good driver who gives the team good feedback and they build the car to suit his style, but I think Alonso is a better driver as he can take a bad car and win or put it on the podium consistently. That's my opinion.

I'm always wondering what exactly Vettel does that is so bad, I find Vettel one of the more charismatic drivers tbh, some of his utterings are classic: on qualifying "it's about dropping your pants and seeing who has the biggest", when Brundle asked him if it was the greatest time in his life "The greatest moment in my life was when... ah but then you weren't there. It was when I lost my virginity."

and what Brundle said about him : “Yeah, but I tell you: the kid’s gotta change his attitude with the media. He’s happy, he’s friendly, he answers your questions, he shakes hands with the sound man, he shakes hands with the camera man and the interviewer and thanks you for the interview. He’ll give Grand Prix drivers a bad name." in other words he's the least arrogant and up his own arse driver F1 has,

Everyone who knows him or has met him personally likes him, all except one, the green eyed whinger.

I can't put my finger on it, Miggs... but I've never truly warmed to Vettel. His donuts in the last few races of 2013 did help a bit, but I've never really thought that he's been genuine in the way some racers are.

For example, I really wish he'd have come out been straight up regarding the whole 'multi-21' saga. He was so wishy-washy over the whole affair and I think he'd have received more kudos if he just said he's out to win, despite the consequence.

I don't dislike the chap, I just want to see the real him, and I don't think we do. I think there's a hard-nosed, ruthless, win at all costs racer under the exterior that we all see, and I'd like to see it.

I don't disagree with that, but I don't think it's under the exterior I think that's plain to see, but he's not an arrogant up his own arse twat with it unlike Webber, Hamilton, Alonso who seem to think they deserve everything without putting the effort in. He doesn't have to be nice to people, he just is, and always has been by all accounts, his major failing seems to be his nationality and being too f***ing good for the others. As for Multi 2-1 I think he was genuinely upset, not that Webber was pissed off (I think he enjoyed that almost as much as me) but that he caused problems for Horner and the team, I think Webber deserved having his face pushed into the mud for his constant sniping of Vettel since he arrived in F1, and I must say I was incredibly surprised everyone was on Webbers side considering how hypocritical his words were if you take what he said after Silverstone '11 into account, I thought it showed the personality of him quite clearly, an arrogant, hypocritical, whiney twat

Will the FIA be more serious about closing all the loopholes and making teams adhere to the laws this year or will teams be able to skirt them left right and centre again?

Loopholes are the only thing that make the tech regs interesting. It's not always a matter of closing them, but more seeing whether a team's clever interpretation is actually that, or breaking a rule in an unexpected manner. The FIA tend to clarify regulations, not close loopholes for at least a season.

All teams will try dance the edge of the regulations... if they have the finances to experiment. It's not exclusive to one team or the other. The trouble is that partisan fans will be extremely vocal about an opponent teams efforts to gain an advantage, and less vocal about their chosen teams.

If anything, the regs need relaxing a bit IMO.

Supposed Ferrari is really testing the 2014 engine in that super Ferrari racer would that be legal? What would happen if Ferrari were found to be cheating?
