Fantastic save, had to be made, had to be in the right position, we have missed our holy goalie a lot, great to have him back.
Long should have scored and Boruc was the hero, but I really don't like the rules that let him have the chance in the first place. Long was stood right next to Boruc in a very offside position and it wasn't until the play got near the line that he suddenly became onside completely unmarked. Just feels to me that the offside rule is being exploited.
Love having Boruc back! His influence can't be underestimated. He is so important for us. Hopefully we can kick on and pick up some points now. Sunderland won't be an easy game, but it's definitely winnable.
That's called good movement by the striker, have to be wise to it if you're defending. Nothing wrong with it.
Not sure if it's been mentioned but I though José never put a boot wrong today. Excellent display, IMO. Vin
At a minimum he cleared up a couple of scrambled crosses very, very calmly indeed when people around him were flapping. I lso didn't see him miss any headed challenges. Vin
Yeah, I thought he played better than Lovren today, but both played well. Fonte also got 3 bonus points in my FF team so he must have done something right!
IT looked like Long(?) thought he had an open goal and tried for the calm finish, not thinking Boruc had a chance. It's a mistake in judgment but also evidence of how good Boruc is because against most GK's that really would have been a goal.
Well, it shows what I know... I've just looked him up on Squawka and he won one out of four headed challenges! Vin
With Boruc, he normally makes at least one stop a game which is classed as a top save. I think it's what we've missed whilst he's been out. Even though a lot of the goals conceded were not exactly keeper mistakes, neither Gazzaniga nor Davis I feel pull off those kind of saves that you remember after the match
