According to the Sun ( I know not a great start to a thread ) Chelsea want Modric. Whilst them wanting him is believeable it goes on to state he is a 15 million pound rated player ? 15 MILLION, are they taking the mick. More like 25 to 30 million. If it came down to it who do you think he would choose. Unfortunatley I think he would choose Chelsea as it would mean he could stay in London. Thoughts ?
I dont think it would come down to who he'd prefer; he'd be happy with either club imo and if Chelsea really want him they'll bid more than we will but that would leave the door open for us to get sneider
I also think he will choose Chelsea. Not sure he's right for United anyway. Doesn't dictate the game enough, given his technical ability.
Modric is a great player who would benefit any in the Premier League and he isn't leaving. That's it really.
It seems like it will boil down to one of us getting modric and one of us getting sneijder. We have yet to know which one. Although we may go for nasri because he's cheap
Although Nasri is the cheapest he is also the worst out of all of them. However he is the youngest which makes him a more attractive option.
Well, when you're finished arguing your point with yourself i'll come back! I feel that fergie will go for the best rather than cheapest this year. He knows our midfield needs something and that is why we're enquiring about the likes of modric/sneijder etc. For him to then back out and go for a cheaper option claiming 'no value' would be a terrible outcome. I still don't understand people talking about sneijder like he hasn't got long left. He's 27! Modric is younger but not as good and nasri is the same compared to modric. I'd much rather we took sneijder for the remainder of his career and then see who's popped up while he's been playing for us.
I think Sneijder would suit Utd more, as you are looking to replace Scholes who is a central midfielder like Sneijder. I would class Modric and Nasri as attacking midfielders.
