means the security on your comp is ****ed then. have you checked to see if spyware has changed your dns settings? also done eset online scanner to see if it finds anything. http://www.eset.com/us/online-scanner-popup/ also http://techpp.com/2010/03/20/spydll-remover-freeware-spyware/
on your taskbar is a little internet tv screen icon thingy, click on it and click on open network and sharing centre. click on local area connection and select properties scroll through to tcp/ipv4 and select properties, down the bottom unless you have specified other wise it should be on obtian dns server address automatically.
if there is spyware of some sort on your pc it can fool your one on your pc into thinking there is nothing wrong when there is, also dif virus scanners pick up dif things as threats or false positves an online scanner cant be fooled that way, or if it can i havent heard about it.
Right well looking at that is says the ipv4 as an ip number and not obtain dns server auto Should I just run that EST thing?
are you using a firewall where you specified to use their dns settings? if not something has changed them without your say so. use the scanner just to be on safe side, need to know why your dns settings are not on auto as you havent said other wise.
just thinking actually just in case you use torrent downloads or anything. write down number of dns and google to see who it is see if you recognise it as a program you use or something.
Thanks Jenner but brother in laws coming up tom apparently so going to get him to look at it as he knows what hes doing better than me
no worries, is frustrating lol, which is why i didnt even bother looking at remote assistance type course when i done them, rather the damn thing in front of me. if both of you use the internet he can access your pc if you install teamviewer (remote assistance type program) and give him the code, then he doesn't need to come round, he can have a look from where he is.
Fookin hell lads it's more like Rumbelows than a boozer in here. I was gonna say Genius Bar to be current but, well...
RIGHT! last comment on this (but the fact still remains without the adblocker this site only is still getting the ads appear) Jenners, its on auto dns. We also ran a malwarebytes scan that we downloaded which is similar to your one I think and although it found problems and threats they came under the category PUP - Potentially Unwanted Programme which according to my bil is no biggie No viruses found. So basically turned the adbocker back on
Thanks anyway but scrap that gerrez just turned adblocker off and its doing it on other sites as well again I think its more a problem my end than this site Im just going to leave adblocker on Like I say it only said pup in the results which apparently are more add ons in stuff, tool bars etc that you might not want rather than spyware viruses So the fact that didnt say viruses, avg didnt and system restore couldnt find anything im just going to leave adblocker on
