Dominant without really creating much. Lallana's goal was the only clear chance we had that I can remember.

After we scored they threw everything at us and Long probably should have scored.

Dominated possession, certainly. Didn't create too many significant chances until the goal...West Brom was sitting back for much of the contest, but we couldn't find a telling pass. Not a major complaint as it's a win, but one where we probably should have put it out of reach long before Boruc had to ride to the rescue.

It wasn't a good performance at all, but hopefully getting the three points in spite of that will give the players some confidence.

Well we'll be (rightly) last on MOTD, but as they say, it's a sign of champions to win ugly ;)

West Brom defended pretty well really, but we definitely deserved to win overall.

If we ever lose a game with Wanyama on the field some people are going to have questions to answer <laugh>

Apparently he's in light training, so that's good.

So... we've hit 30 points. Seven points ahead of 10th, three points behind 8th placed Newcastle.

Newcastle play City at home tomorrow. Come on City!

Just got away from the stadium. What a pass from Ramirez. Magical stuff. Sublime. Great save from Boruc at the end but he really shouldn't have been given a chance.

Can't overestimate the importance of those 3 points. After a poor run, this result confirms our position and does a lot for confidence. Lots of possession again, but we need to score more. What a sickener if Boruc hadn't saved at the end.

Pochettino says Victor Wanyama is in line to make his return in the FA Cup against Yeovil Town on January the 25th.

I blame myself for Jay not scoring as I have put him in my Fantasy team.

Yes, let's hope this is just the first step back to full confidence and form. Sunderland will fancy their chances next week after their result today, need to make sure they don't set back our revival.

He made one poor clearance, otherwise was in full command.

You have to give credit to West Brom, they defended very well, it was hard for us to find cracks in their defence. Gaston gave us that attacking impetus we lacked throughout the game.

Just got in from the game. Thought Rickie and Jay were way off the pace up front and for all our good approach play we never really looked like scoring.
Thank God for Lallana, he was a class apart, for me Gaston was again very poor.
