Thought we looked a very good team early on-but lost the midfield battle later.

One concern is at left back. Figueroa has a habit of giving the ball away very cheaply and it is a habit not just today but in many other games this season. I am beginning to winch like I did when Paul McShane used to get the ball during our first go around in the Premier League and tee it up and belt it down the field to an opposition player. Lots of moves or potential moves broke down when he got the ball. Rosenoir has played on the left before?? If so maybe time for him to come in.

Lets hope we can get a win next week against Norwich.

Chester must have been one of the lads with the flu, his worst performance in a City shirt for me. Surprised Meyler went off, thought he was doing a good job of breaking up play as usual. Still don't rate Figueroa. Today, more than any other game, we desperately missed Aluko. Someone who can come deep, get the ball moving and run at a man, and crucially, link the midfield and attack together.

Think we have the attitude of 'Oh, it was Chelsea, and we only lost 2-0, so that's good' a little too much. They didn't play particularly well and I think it's just their name/reputation. If West Brom came to the KC and played like that and won 2-0 I suspect people would be less satisfied. Perhaps I'm being a tad harsh but other than Hazard, I thought they were pretty average.

I thought the first half we played quite well, but the 2nd half we allowed them space and time and thats were we lost it.

2-0 to chelsea twice, 2-0 to man city, 2-0 to liverpool, 2-0 to arsenal

I know it counts for nothing but it really isn't half bad to know we don't get raped by teams like that.

    Disappointing 2nd half.

A few disappointing individual performances. Koren is not good enough, Boyd clearly can't start a game because he goes missing after 20. Elmo can't get passed anyone after 30.
Sagbo has no support. Meyler become reckless and Figgy clumsy.

I also preferred Thudd with his Afro

It's shaping up to be an interesting afternoon. If Sunderland and West Ham stay in front, there will only be six points between 11 teams.

From what I've seen this season, Chelsea are the only team who we haven't looked threatening against, we've been competitive against all other teams we've come up against, but I think today we've lost to the team which will win the league, and there's no shame in that.

the lads gave it a good go today Sagbo missing that chance was a massive blow. Thought Chester played ok myself, Meyler (not strong enough)and Figgy (poor decisions and distribution) were the weakest links for me today. Chelsea are a massive club full of quality players, Hazard was a class above everybody on the pitch he's so bloody quick.
We held our own but one moment of class for Hazards goal and a good finish from Torres when we were chasing.
The main difference between the two sides for me was, when we broke Chelsea had plenty of numbers back quickly and the pace they broke with and the support they got was very impressive, by far the best team to visit the KC this season and we competed well.

Chelsea have some skilled individuals, but they tend to rely on piece football.

Bruce was a little naive today. After 15 mins he should have told Chester to tuck in behind Elmo and allow Elmo to continue to skin Cole. That was our outlet all day long. Meyler was also set to mark a defensive midfielder (Luiz) - why? It left him way out of position several times. I don't get what's was to gain from this.

Not often you can fault Bruce but felt he got it wrong today, certainly when there was an obvious mismatch with Elmo vs Cole

Chelsea were the best side we've played at the KC. Their defence were so comfortable just as they were against us last time. It makes you wonder how they ever concede.

Hazard is another boring **** with all his rolling around, one hand on his forehead like a shocked old woman and when he went down holding his face trying to get Chester sent off took the piss. This is creeping more and more into games. Why isn't it met with the same derision and outrage as diving is? Players are trying to get each other sent off by desperately looking for stray arms and then going down. That said, Sagbo does the same thing. It's pathetic.

Chelsea, along with Man U have brought the best away support this season which surprised me a bit on both occasions. You kind of expect a load of tourists like they get at home. They had some decen chants and some reasonable banter was had, although I hate that word.

I agree, also this time round, the bigger teams are putting out strong teams against us, whereas the last time, they were somehow fielding weaker teams.

Outstanding first half when we pushed up and pressured them. For some reason we laid back in the second half and gave them room to push forward from midfield. We've done this in several games and its cost us. Is this Bruce's instructions or tiredness setting in. Maybe we should sub in earlier. Figueroa was poor all game and maybe Quinn should have come in. Also Rossy for Chester who was beaten too often.

First half I thought we shaded it, and Sagbo should have scored, when he was gifted that chance. Second half they were much better than us, but we never looked out classed.

Agree but I think that's what Chelsea under Mourinho are really good at - stop teams scoring and then press hard, and they can score,........

If West Brom were capable of coming to the KC and playing like that they wouldn't be sitting 14th in the table...

Huddlestone and Livermore had their worst games in City colours, and there was some dreadful football from both teams

Chelsea were the better team and two goals out of nothing from £82m-worth of world-class quality (and that's just Hazard and Torres!) was the difference in the end. We'd better get used to it now we're in the big boys' league

I don't think Sagbo's chance was that easy but he took it with the wrong foot and should have got it on target at least.
