Factor in to this that FEHILY is now SILVINIANO CONTI's jockey and you see its a pretty sorry state of affairs huh!
Hi Tam. Wouldn't you think that maybe Annie is better than Voler La Vedette, and maybe Big Buck's isn't as good as he was when having to pull out all the stops to beat that mare. Then factor in Ruby won't be on Big Buck's. Then factor in that Ruby would be on Annie. I don't think I would be risking anything on the greatest staying hurdler in that scenario.
Yeah its a gamble ....Emperors choice also ran poorly in the same race and both could go well today....i m banking on the fact that Safran de cotte just had an off day and blinkers might switch him on a bit....we'll see...
Sometimes you just have to ignore logic! Well done Steve And well done me - since I posted this I have discovered that I had a small win bet at 10's
The Liquidator will be a totally different proposition at Cheltenham for me. . . as stated on fridays thread!
Hi, Ron. I don't see how you can balance a one-off run by Voler La Vedette against Annie Power, especially since Big Bucks always has something in his locker. Several Jockeys have tried to pounce on him at the last, and he just pulls out a bit more. Yes, we need to assume Big Bucks has retained his form but, if my life depended on it, I'd take on anything in the Champion Hurdle rather than try and beat him. Yes, Hurricane Fly is a tremendous hurdler, but I believe the Cheltenham hill offers her more than Hurricane. Her improvement may just bridge that gap. I also think many people have underestimated her all along- and overestimated The New One and My Tent Or Yours , etc. They aren't great hurdlers, but Big Bucks certainly is.
Dare Me? **** Me! How easy was that ....... lots more to come from this one with his improved jumping
And speaking of distances - I'm on Twinlight in the next, but puzzled by them going up to 20f when the horse has been so good over 16
Four legs and a jockey? You must have a great memory Ron! It WAS a great win by Cap Chris though - he's never been one a my favs, but credit where it is due. Commentator indicating that Twinlight didn't get the trip - he may well have not, but after that blunder at the 7th, Ruby all but stopped riding him until after the last. And what a great sit by Ruby
Real nice run into 2nd by Grand Vision and given that was 2nd run in 10 days since the 2 year absence looks a great marker for the future and wont be surprised to see them head to Cheltenham
Thank You I thought that too Wardy - didn't look like getting to the winner, but good run considering his absence. Comp race up next - come on Saphir Du Rheu and Junction 14 and .......... it's just that sort of race
That martin harley is nothin but a buckin jinx for me! Every buggering time I don't back he wins and when I do like in the first today he costs me a fortune by killing my treble.! Arrgghhh not my day again!! need rathvinden to win to save the day..should do it. but don't back it !
Creepy next up. Was entered also in the Tolworth, which would have been too short for him - decent ew chance here at 8-1
