    is this fact?

I so hope so, as my wife is from Wigan and her brother and Dad are season ticket holders there.

    Bring on the Pie-eaters!

we should have known it might be athletic bilbao with their links to saints back in the late 19th century. I always remember hearing that they played in red and white stripes and formally adopted the name athletic because of us.

as for the daily echo's early release of the news, this certainly won't be doing anything to strengthen their relationship with the club.

Echo released it, so presumably have a strong source. Unless NC told several people different teams and was trying to find any leaks<whistle>

Meh, although Atletic Bilbao are one of the games great stories, they only use players produced by their youth academy I think (certainly they can only field Basque players), and their fans voted to maintain this policy if it meant relegation. They have produced some truly great players over the years as well.

Paella is quite healthy, so maye that explains it. Very nice it is too when cooked properly, so I wouldn't blame him!

A little better than Lambert I think it's fair to say :p

Bilbao are one of my favourite teams in the world, love their policy.

6th in La Liga using only players from the Basque region. Brilliant. No other team could be as successful if they employed the same policy.

What if someone like Jordan Sibley at Saints told Simpson what the fixtures where before going on holiday to try and cover his tracks whilst printing them.
