Louise Taylor is that stupid Guardian cow who hated PB and wrote almost weekly negative articles about him and us last time we were in the Prem.

    She's a bigoted Sunderland fan.

I think she was pretty anti SB when he was at Sunderland too - wasn't she the source of the 'dinosour who can't even use email' jibe ?

Still, good article - hope Tom has a great game.

She treated him with the contempt he deserved for his presser antics. I was there when he revealed his 'Humber Bridge suicide save' and she said "oh, well there will be CCTV footage of that. I'll speak to the Humber Bridge operations board" and you should've seen Phil's face drop.

If you make stuff up to play the game you want then don't be surprised when it blows up in your face.

The next Glenn Hoddle is a bit far IMO but i'm glad he's doing well for you. Always a player i've admired, I just hope we can find the next Huddlestone if we get promoted, he's exactly what you need in the PL IMO.

By holding a grudge and filtering all HCFC news/matches through the prism of one comment at a Press Conference?

    How unprofessional and small-minded.

That whole business shows Phil Brown isn't too bright as it might have occurred to him that his story could be fact checked. Still. What a manager! He did the impossible. He hypnotised a City squad into believing they were good enough to go up. I doubt SAF could have got us up.

I was referring to a particular occasion where Brown said something ridiculous and she challenged him hence i feel she did her job. I made no mention of anything before or after said incident.

    Praised him when doing well-
Like Allardyce, Brown had an infinitely less distinguished playing career than Keane but, invariably sharp-suited and equipped with smart one-liners, he is unprecious and possesses humour and a brassy personality which might play well on Wearside. The 49-year-old would not be unduly stressed by the idea of replacing such a big name or the intensity of media coverage in the north-east. While Brown enjoys an excellent relationship with Hull's chairman, Paul Duffen, and feels bound to a club which revived his managerial career, Sunderland offer greater resources and emotional resonance."

    http://www.theguardian.com/football/2009/nov/08/phil-brown-hull-city

"With no Hull player, let alone the official body that monitors the suspension bridge, remotely aware of such an incident, The Observer put it to Brown that the apparently suicidal female was a figment of his imagination. He looked rather sheepish, hung his head and, eventually, said: "No comment."

Called him on it when he was clearly lieing.

He's probably already on the ale, Andy. Ignore it.

Perhaps he thought it would lighten the mood and distract the media focus which was by then becoming more unforgiving each week.

If he made it up, it was foolish.

As was she, if she let a trivial incident overshadow the bigger Phil Brown picture.
