No the twat who's name escapes me, thought he was french a few months ago so he put an accent on. has the face you want to plant a brick on.
He certainly is! And in magnificent form too. There should be a matchday thread on our board tomorrow, which often reaches 12 pages or so. If you're not at the game, your lot should pop down!
I am surprised that most of you think that QPR will win. You obviously haven't seen how bad we have been lately(?) On paper, yes, on grass no. Btw, we haven't spent billions on this season's squad
We're not in a false position, we may not have the best players but due to Mick and how he's set us up we're likely to be far more consistent than teams even with far superior players. Yes I agree we're not a very good team on paper or to watch but we're not in a false position. We might not finish in the play offs this season but we won't be far off.
I'm going for a 1-0 win Alan Lee to get a 91st minute winner, the stuff dreams are made of!! Cue crazy celebrations and that cracking song ALAN LEE....GOAL I reckon it'll be a tight game, Harry looks like he's set QPR up as a solid team and Mick certainly will aswell against a team of QPRs quality
If Alan Lee gets a last minute winner tomorrow I will buy all the ITFC Not 606 regulars a beer in Rileys last game of the season.!
What I have against Watford now is two things. 1 - Me being absolutely petty. We lost something like 12 out of 15 games in a row v them, the other 3 draws and still have not beaten then at home since 03/04. 2 - The absolute farce of them fully exploiting the rules last season. Their owner owns Udinese, and a Spanish side Getafe perhaps. They had an absolutely ridiculous amount of players on loan, I am not sure of the exact number but it was absurd. Both ourselves as a club, and every other single side in this division are limited to 5 domestic, and 2 foreign loans. Luckily, they have closed the loophole this season so karma is well and truly achieved.
couple of things westy mate. 1) what have watford got to do with us playing QPR 2) when we played watford last season we actually had more loanees in the squad than they did! EDITED - now see the answer to number 1 point. number 2 point was it more or equal? - I know it was very similar in the number of loanees as it was discussed at the time.
Morning all. Potentially interesting game today. And one to test us possibly. I do see this as a very tight game and a single goal in it. Qpr aren't keeping the clean sheets they were and rely heavily on Austin to score the goals and I think if we can nullify him we'll pinch this one. The single goal will go to us with Dids scoring a worldy. Mazy run from 30 yards taking out 4 defenders and a cheeky chip over Green.
I guess in a nutshell, I compare QPR to Watford because QPR are spending absolutely ridiculous money and it may sound harsh, but I would find it absolutely hilarious should they not get promoted. I mean how much money is their goalkeeper Julio Cesar on for a start, who they are leaving out of their squad? It's absolutely ridiculous clubs spending stupid amounts of money. Watford may have had less loanees than us, however they had a incredible amount of players from parent clubs Udinese and Grenada. Glad that loophole is well and truly shut. I look forward with interest to see just what this " FFP " achieves. Probably nothing! Otherwise, I traditionally like QPR. Kevin Gallen is an absolute legend! Anyway, roll on 3 hours 12 minutes so I can watch the game COYB!
Hold on Westy, lets get things right here. We signed three players with money this season: Austin, Phillips and Henry. Yes we payed a lot of money for them, 10 million quid in all. I wish we weren't paying out such money for players and instead scout them out like most other Clubs but there you go. 10m is a lot but lets not get carried away. Julio Cesar isn't "our goalkeeper" in the way you've implied. He's our reserve keeper and ain't played a league game all season. He's like a noose around our neck, sitting there and collecting obscene amounts of money. Far from him being a help to our squad, he's a massive hindrance. Rob Green is our goalkeeper mate. Stepping back and looking at it objectively as if it was another Club and we were potless like we were a few years ago, I would feel the same as you. I hate to see Clubs trying to buy leagues and am glad when they fu*k up. However, considering the absolute shambles our squad was at the end of last season, I think Redknapp has done a good job in turning it around, regardless of the 10 million sheets he's chucked at it. What's the financial situation like at Ipswich? You buying or selling these days mate?
