Blimey I'd forgotten about this article that I put together nearly a year ago now, I wonder how Chris Hughton will be remembered when he leaves or is replaced? He has a hell of a lot to do if he is to be remembered a one of our best managers but you never know, stranger things have happened. Most of you know where I stand with regard to CH, but if I have to come on here and eat humble pie at the end of the season I will be happy !

Hate to say it guys but you have had some terrific managers in the past, Lambert was superb but I always held Ken Brown in highest regard, top bloke and very, very good manager.

    don't forget mike bassett

in seriousness, let's not discuss hughton yet in this context. whatever happens, and however he is remembered, he's had the impossible job of following one of the most sucessful managers in our history.

Funnily enough Guru so did I, however I had a conversation with an Ex Canary recently who shall remain nameless, he played under Ken Brown and he reckoned that Ken was always pissed and took hardly any training sessions leaving all the coaching to Mel Machin !

Blimey Max! you are certainly setting your sights a bit low if you think that a manager who won back to back promotions is one of your most sucessful! <laugh>

Dave Stringer was the man behind your great team of the late 80s and early 90s only for that horrible tw*t Walker to come along and take all the glory!

Second highest win percentage of Norwich managers in charge for more than 25 matches (to Norman Low), Warky.

Now Munky, you know that won't happen because

    A. You have to play Fulham away.

    B. Hughton is so negative he plays for a draw in a penalty shootout

    and

    C. You are Norwich, you don't win major trophies!

    Spot on !
Mike Walker was a very lucky man, he inherited a very strong squad of players, who with a couple of good additions turned them into a terrific team.
I agree with most that Stringer really brought us on leaps and bounds but Walker just got it all to gell together into a couple of brilliant seasons.
I think as regards to Lambert he will always be remembered with great reverence because as a club we were so low the only way was up, and the up came so fast that all the "younger" fans have had nothing like him to compare to where as we " older" fans were lucky enough to have seen the likes of Saunders, Bond ,Stringer ,walker & worthy who have all had highs and lows.
