Hotel Management. Not a fantastic thing to help conjure ideas really is it?

I can't think of any way that might be useful though...

What sort of read do you like? Fiction, non-fiction, mysteries, thrillers ...?

He's written quite a few and they are all good but 'A year in the merde' is the first and sets the tone for the rest of them.

Not yet but I've been thinking those thoughts for many a year now ;)

I've got 'Great Lies To Tell Children' and she still won't believe me that if you place a policeman's helmet on the ground a policeman grows under it during the night.

Some good ones i've read recently

A Quiet Belief in Angels - R J Ellory
The End of Food - Paul Roberts
God Is Not Great - Christopher Hitchens
Game of Thrones - GRR Martin
Any of the Flashman books by George MacDonald Frazer (start with Flashman if you have the choice)

Just a few from various categories to start off!

Is there anything actually written in it or is it just a hefty hardback to knock them unconscious with?

A mate of mine went on holiday with his missus, her sister and her two kids. The youngest of the kids was about 4 and stated loudly in the restaurant 'Please mummy. No more Kalpol tonight' just when there was a lull in the background noise.

here's a taster

The wind whispers soft through the grass, hon.
The field mice, they make not a peep.
It’s been thirty-eight minutes already.
Jesus Christ, what the ****? Go to sleep.

We went to the same resort shortly after the incident.

You wouldn't believe the discount we got as a family! It was a steal.
