Hopefully the weather will improved so Mensah gets some games as Braintree have had a few called off due to the rain.
Ranegie was a junkie, http://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/sp...urned_his_life_around_after_drug_taking_past/ , maybe not what he wanted in the papers as a 'welcome article' but it is out now and well better to know he is reformed.
Deeney was a convict and seems to be reformed. Hope that they both stay out of trouble with a good family club to work at.

It does sound as if he is in with a chance of coming off the bench. http://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/sport/10933644.Abdi_could_feature_against_Robins/

Every now and again I read that our club has lost it's soul. Compared to other clubs i don't believe it, and my view is backed up when I read things like this. Hornets to offer over 1,000 match ticket holders half-price travel on official club coaches for rearranged game... ALTHOUGH a new date is yet to be confirmed for the New Year's Day postponed game at Yeovil Town, Watford FC will offer half-price travel on official club coaches to all fans who had purchased a match ticket for January 1. The Hornets and Glovers are waiting until the FA Cup fixture schedule is a little clearer before pencilling in a new date for the match, however the game is highly likely to take place on a Tuesday evening. Watford supporters who travelled on official club coaches on January 1 have already been offered a free trip to Huish Park - and now over 1,000 match ticket buyers can join them for £12.50 per space on club coaches. Once a new date for Yeovil Town v Watford has been confirmed, please contact the Ticket Office Hotline 01923 223023 to arrange discounted travel on official club coaches." OK, I guess that it will not be possible for every ticket holder to go, but offering over 1,000 coach places at reasonable cost seems a very fair option to offer.
So, a comment on each of those last 2 posts: Merkel is serving part of his suspension with a game he couldn't play in anyway. Will Barnsley do something similar when their game at Charlton is rearranged?
Hardly seems right, does it? I thought that was a clause in the rules that prohibited it, but a quick trawl revealed nothing... Perhaps we could draw tomorrow and organise another replay next week.....
http://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/sport/watfordfc/watfordfcnews/10941496._/? Bugger - but not surprising given the limited game time he has received this season.
Only if Chelsea were more flexible with our wage contribution. Apaprently he is on £35k and they wanted a bigger contribution than we were willing to pay. I think Forest were paying 100% of it!
