QPR fan here in peace. Spent a fair bit of my childhood around Lowestoft, Gt Yarmouth Beccles, Oulton Broads and Ipswich as my relations were school teachers there. Always liked your club and had the old plain blue top with white round neck and cuffs, many years ago. the Marriner days i believe before Robson. Anyway, loking forward to a good game between our 2 sides as you guys normally play good football. Obviously I hope we win comfortably but there a bit of discontent around our team at the moment so you've got us at a good time. Our mods normally do a match day thread so feel free to join in. They are top mods and allow most stuff as long as its kept withing the rules of decency. Good luck lads (and lasses) for the rest of the season...after Sat anyway
Good OP from my buddy Queens there. I'm fearing this game lads. You're on form and have a good, solid Championship manager there in Bert from Sesame Street. Did a very good job for Ireland and Wolves and looks to have turned you boys around aswell. Should be a good game. My heart says Rangers but my head says Tractors. Enjoy the game fellas
I wouldn't say I was worried about this game. We had a closely contested match last time and I expect the same again. Mick has taken us from getting regular hidings to competing in every match so you'll have your work cut out. I'm not sure many on here would say we play good football like you might expect from an Ipswich team but we have a solid defence and are scoring goals.

I think this will be the turning point in our season...but unfortunately the wrong way. I think we will get tonked by QPR, and i think we will slowly fall to the wayside. We've been very lucky the last couple of months, sneaking draws here and there, and i don't think we're playing that great. Our squad is extremely thin (of any quality at least) so if we stsrt to get some injuries and suspensions to key players, then we could be screwed. I've predicted a 3-0 win to QPR, with Smith getting sent off in the first half.

We are unbeaten in 9, which clearly tells you something. The general consensus granted is we're not playing very well. I seem to recall us playing at times superb football under Jewell. Would you prefer us to be 18th, however playing champaign football? We've taken the lead in most of the draws too. Charlton/ Watford/ Bournemouth spring to mind. We're hardly sneaking draws if we are taking the lead. I think tomorrow will be a damn hard game though, and 2-1 QPR is my viewpoint.

I don't know how you read that from the OP. Stop being so paranoid mate. If you're playing poorly but grinding out results, this could be an awful match because that's exactly how we've been playing all season. Two boring sides cancelling each other out will not make good viewing.

I'd never diss big Mick. He was our Manager for 6 years and got us to the World Cup. He does look like Bert though

By the way Queenslander, I like your signature. Kind of describes our team under Mick. Many of us think there may be a more talented player (Taylor) on the bench but Mick seems to pick his team more on attitude than skill level.

Even one of the mods was 'disliking' my posts, sod being judged by some random person who knows nothing about how long I've supported that club.
