I think you would be hard pushed to find anybody better in my opinion. But then i don't really see enough of the foreign refs to make a hand on heart call. Defo best in this country.
Not sure I'd say the best. What frustrates me most about refereeing, is their decision making in awarding penalties or sendings off. On another day, when Chelsea played Liverpool, D'Eto could easily have been shown a red for the foul that led to Liverpool's opener.
Was definately the best in the world until the last 18 months when everybody in the game told him he was and now he seems to think that he has to be too clever and look for things that are not there. At least he is not a Prima Donna like Mariner and Co but is now producing the same result of drawing attention to himself by controversial decisions.
Not often I agree with you Guru but on that I do. Would you have argued with him? On another subject I was talking to our newsagent this morning who is a season ticket holder at Portaloo Road - in fairness he was born and brought up in your area - and he was saying that he thought your lot were turning the corner and he is more optimistic than at any other time since you dropped out of the top flight. Any views on that?
We used to be the three ( ageing ) Musketeers - you, me and Redruth. Looks like we have lost him for good - even more of a shame is that he left over a spat on a non-football matter.
Slow and steady I think is term for us 1950, for the first time in years we actually have a team rather than a bunch of players just here for the money. We have a fantastic manager who has built up a great team spirit and it is looking good. I think we need to improve on the creative side of things, but in saying that i think we are in the top 3 goalscorers in the division, which is superb. Do I think we will go up this year? probably a bit too soon if you ask me, but the job MM & TC has done is nothing short of incredible, and i hope the stay for a good few years.
