You can't know the DOF set up mate because it's not his job to Identify the player, that's Angeloni's job and the head coach to in effect sign it off. Di Fanti's jobs are to manage the budget, get the best deal and decide if a move for a player is possible or not. He doesn't Identify the player. He is not a scout.
tomorrow news today? Black Cats’ chief Gus Poyet had hoped to have the 25-year-old centre-half available for tomorrow’s match against Fulham at Craven Cottage. But despite a last minute delay, he is confident of clinching a £500,000 deal for the Estudiantes stopper and he could be followed by more arrivals from South America with striker Ignacio Scocco of Newell Old Boys a possible option. On Vergini’s imminent arrival, Poyet said: “We are very close but it is not yet done. “There are others we are working on too but there are some names, we are linked with I do not even know.” Alonso, who is on a six month loan from Fiorentina, enjoyed an outstanding debut in the 2-1 Capital One Cup semi-final win over Manchester United, being named man of the match. He will definitely play at Fulham, when Poyet is expected to rely on the nucleus of the team who were victorious on Tuesday night. Poyet confirmed that Swiss misfit Cabral has joined Serie A outfit Genoa on loan after months in the cold at the Stadium of Light. The former Basle midfielder played in the opening day defeat against Fulham but was then axed by former manager Paolo Di Canio. Cabral hasn’t figured at all since August with Poyet admitting he is unlikely to return to Sunderland. “He has gone to Genoa with an option to stay,” he added. “For different reasons, it has not worked for him here but we wish him well. “He has a great opportunity to restart his career.” Despite the impressive form of former Arsenal keeper Vito Mannone, Poyet is looking to bring in another experienced keeper with KIeren Westwood unlikely to play against this season due to a shoulder injury. “The goalkeeping situation is a concern and is something we are looking at,” he said.
I have no fears about the scouting network that found players like Sanchez, Gyan & Asamoah. Players that left Udinese for about £50 million profit.

I watch a bit of Argentinian footy too and I think these will be good signings based on the style of football were now playing. Usually they players are technically good and to be honest I always think they play at a million miles an hour over there. If Poyet can get them to adapt to the physicality of the premier league then I think they could do really well. I have confidence in the scouting network and Poyet. Alonso looks good so I trust our team.
I'm worried that we appear to be concentrating on the defence, when we all know it's a lack of goals that is killing us, I hope Gus is looking at this as well?
Goals is our main problem but our defence also needs sorting. Westwoods out all season now, so we have no experienced backup. Diakite and Cuellar are close to moving on apparantly, so we need another defender in. Hopefully Scocco can get the goals we need if he signs. If not im sure we're looking at other attacking players.
I'm sure Gus is looking at all area's to be fair but we need goals mate. I know we're thin on the ground in defence as well and with Westy looking like he's out for the season then we do need cover, also as good as he has been, Brown isn't likely to go the rest of the season without picking up another injury so we need cover for him as well.
@JuanG_Arango Looks like ‪#‎Sunderland‬ could get their man. @SCInternacional have announced Scocco not in their plans for 2014. http://glo.bo/KIX1bA Scocco alega insatisfação, e direção do Inter decide negociar atacante Jogador conversou com a cúpula do Inter e disse que não estava motivado para seguir no Beira-Rio globoesporte.globo.com
Turns out it's Portuguese Scocco alleges dissatisfaction, and direction of Inter decides to negotiate a striker Player talked to Inter's Summit and said he was not motivated to follow at Beira-Rio globoesporte.globo.com
I tried a translation of the translated text into Swahili and then back again into English: 'Soccer Co allegations and direction not satisfied of his middle while discussing playing at beating said it was a middle erection and said he was not motivated to pursue Berra in Rio' hope that helps
