Friday brings AW racing at Lingfield, Wolverhampton and Dundalk whilst the only NH meeting in UK comes from Sedgefield. The only one I remotely fancy is at Sedgefield in the long heavy slog at 14.45 (Cyc's type of race). Should finish before dark with any luck so will be able to see The Young Master romp home. Lads the most generous with 2/1 on offer.
No 2/1 now Ron, and looking at it i must say the trainer is in fine form. 6 of his last 7 have won!! Follow a trainer in form!!
Mister Philson's trainer is also in fine form so expect a good match! Interesting runner also at Sedgefield is IVANKA in the 3:15. First time in a handicap and upped to a more suitable trip. My enthusiasm is tempered though by a trainer out of form and the horses lack of a recent run so leaving it alone and will possibly regret that decision! I like the look of THE BLUE DOG Lingfield 3:30 tomorrow but enough to go overboard.
Okay so 2 for today are: 430 Wolv- Fat Gary 500 Wolv- Stormy Mornings Heres hoping for a few pennies for the weekend beers
That would be me Ron - a sorry thing to have to admit at this time. Were that drubbing by City an exceptional result you could forgive it but sadly we are leaderless and clueless at present. To be fair to Sam the injury list is awful and not just with Andy Carroll but the even bigger loss at present is Winston Reid in central defence as he was the best player last season by a mile. What Sam has to take responsibility for is that he spent 24m in the summer on Andy Carroll and Stewart Downing. Carroll was a case of putting all the eggs in one basket and the Downing money really needed be spent on another striker rather than another midfielder. So yes we have bad injuries but he must take responsibility for the squad being so thin up front. I think if we are beaten badly at Cardiff at the weekend he may get the push but I have no idea who will take the job anyway and he is a scrapper so should stick with him I think and hope we can do a Houdini when the players return.
Narrowed the 315 down to 5 Ivanka,Willihall,Little by little,Bollinjullie,Politelysed Sorry had to be done lol
Morning all, hope everyone is well? My 4 come from Lingers today which are: 12.00 KUANYAO 12.30 RANDOM SUCCESS 13.30 PETERSBODEN 14.30 SHAUNAS SPIRIT Over at Sedgefield I will do a double on Sir Mangan (12.45) and Cara Court (14.15) Good luck
Lucky 15 on these: 3:30 Lingfield - The Blue Dog 3/1 4:00 Wolves - Celestial Dawn 7/1 5:00 Wolves - Funky Munky 7/2 7:00 Wolves - Zamra 9/2
Morning, crew. Poor days racing again today but I will nominate one to the regular readers running on the polytack at old Lingers Park: Shalianzi (1.00 Lingfield Park) – This old boy, who is an Aga Khan homebred, had respectable form across the Channel in maidens when trained by Alain Du Royre-Dupre and although he disappointed for current connections, on his flat debut in this Isle, I think the level of his French form and some of his subsequent efforts over hurdles is some way above his rivals in this 12 furlong maiden today. Furthermore, is 3 pounds+ clear of his rivals on official marks and his stable have won this contest in both of the previous 2 years. To my eye current quotes of 100/30 are more than fair. Good luck all.
Tolworth runners confirmed: The Liquidator Garde La Victoire Upzao Josses Hill Royal Boy Creepy Prince Siegfried Well done to the BHA and Levy Board for rescheduling the race, should be a corker. BTW Paul Nicholls' Irving misses the race and is instead being targeted at the Betfair Hurdle.
Wouldn't touch the race but I've narrowed it down to 6: Willie Hall (11/2), King's Chorister (6/1), Bollin Julie (10/1) and the other 3 you mention (purely because you mentioned them) please log in to view this image
Certainly his stiffest test to date stick but I think he'll take all the beating. Prince Siegfried could go well at an e/w price, shame it's only 7 runners though.
Painful isn't it. We seem to be going the same way, after a good start. Can't remember the last time we won at home in the League.
