Still too much of a lottery to predict really - it's nice to see the media are giving us some praise for our first half of the season performances though.

There are a lot of 'ifs' and 'buts' to the second half of the season - currently I'd say: West Ham, Fulham and Norwich for the drop, but consistency is key - form dips from club to club, it's those who sustain the good form the longest that succeed.

West Ham: Looking doomed at the moment, but have the money to buy their way out of trouble. Andy Carroll & Rickie Lambert would turn their season around.
Sunderland: Was doomed, now look like they have some fight in them and could just as easily stay up - but have a few points to make up.
Fulham: One minute they're hopeless, next they're back to playing well - consistency is very much key for them - get a bit of form and they'll be fine. If not, who knows?
    Norwich: See Fulham.
West Brom: From what I've seen recently, Berahino is single-handedly driving them forward. If he gets injured, do they have much back-up?
Palace: Another who looked doomed. Pulis has done a good job in turning them around and I wouldn't be surprised if they stayed up.
Cardiff: Ole Gunnar Solksjaer - seems to be buying a lot of ex-Molde players. Di Canio bought masses of players who had never player PL football too - they'll either turn out to be a bunch who can't hack it in the PL, or they'll take games by storm as unknowns wanting to prove they can cut it at this level - could go either way for them.

Hull City AFC: I'm thinking we'll finish about 15th, and I'd be more than happy with that.

I have a nasty feeling that Palace are gonna survive. But we'll finish in our highest position ever.

    18...Norwich
    19...Fulham
    20...West Ham

I expect Sunderland (17) to stay up under Poyet. They have a good squad but Di Canio was a disaster. Pulis has got the defence together at Palace (16). They'll be ok. Solsjaer has a strong group at Cardiff (15) and morale should improve.

For us I'd be happy with 10-14 given our lack of firepower. Next season mid-table with Aluko fit and Long on board.

Got to agree with Macca Is A ****, to be honest.

It's a tricky one, though. Avoiding relegation would've been everyone's baseline hope before the season began, so as long as we achieve that I won't be complaining. Having said that, finishing 17th would represent a comparatively disappointing second half to the season.

As for who goes down, I'll be too busy focusing on our progress to give too much of a ****; as long as it's not us, I'm not that bothered.

Sunderland are on the up but Norwich better have points on the board before those last 4 matches

Hull City - 16th would be our highest ever position and make Steve Bruce our best ever manager, or if he betters 35 points and survives he also becomes the best ever

The problem with having a dig at his user name is it looks as if you're bad-mouthing one of the club's most popular players... <yikes>

Sunderland seem just as bad under Poyet to me. How many red cards now? Yet it's never the players' fault. They look desperate to me; still lagging behind the rest points-wise and constantly blaming the ref or whoever else.
