What is your source for saying Hull have had a £7m bid for Fletcher rejected?
According to Hull at this end we have not made a bid. According to Gus the other day no clubs had made an enquiry. Have I missed something?
I cant imagine Hull offering £7m. They don'y have that sort of money....but I could be wrong.

See I can;t see how anyone can say that - 3 goals each and Fletcher hasn't even got fit yet. What good is replacing him with a striker off-form/low on confidence. As an addition (when on form anyhow) it wouldn't be a bad thing.

I'd like to see concrete evidence saying Fletcher is away - Poyet says no bids and Bruce told talksport the other day that the times made up their £8m story as he hasn't got £8m to spend on "one player". Are we going on his body language? If that's the case then there must be a few players leaving this window.

Confidence is a big thing. Fletcher will score more goals than Long in our side - of that I'm certain.

Hull don't need to have made a bid for him to be told what the price would be. I'm sure "unofficial courtesy" calls will have been passed between agents and clubs and thats how these figures are passed from club to club, without formal bids being lodged. We've quoted a high figure through the grapevine and Hull have been put off from bidding. Simple as.

The media which is where you read about Hull not making a bid and Sunderland saying no clubs have enquired.

All you've missed is the actual truth like the rest of us .......... we're fed what the agents/clubs/managers/players want us to swallow.

They all use the media to engineer transfers & increased fees and the media publish it to make money, always been the same.

Update for you: In our weekly press conference Hull City have apologised to both Sunland and WBA over Fletcher and Long. Summats come out somewhere for City to apologise. They did add that it had not come out of Hull City but still apologised. Probably relating to t**tter. My source very close to City says it is Long there after. Maybe it is Fletch but not at the £8m quoted. Who knows?
As usual i will sit and wait.

Great win for you guys on Tuesday. That should give the team tons of confidence.
One of my mates (MU follower) is thinking of changing his allegiance to Arsenal or chelsea FFS.

Well that's all the proof I needed <laugh>

How close is your source to City by the way?

Why would Hull want to apologise to Sunderland if they haven't made an enquiry and don't want to sign him?

    Exactly, summats happened.
My source works for City in an unofficial way. Longey is best mates with McShane + Brady and was 99% signed up in August until WBA pulled out of the deal.
    As always, time will tell.
    Who are you guys after?

I cant get hold of my mate.
Tbf to him he doesnt like to give too much away because city is a good earner for him. I respect him for that.
He does tell me when something is rubbish though. I asked him last weekend if Sunderland are involved in anything atm involving city. The answer was no.
I will try to keep you posted.

Im off now. Hes just on ansaphone.
    Ta for the chats.
Might be back later if I have any news. Im seeing him Saturday for our loss against Chelsea, but hopefully know before then.

    He Persephone's brother or something?

I've never seen it written that way, only ever seen it answerphone or answer-phone. My spellchecker isn't a big fan of it either.

    Are you the grammar police?
I saved time by putting Sunland & Satdee (although having to type a reply hasn't saved me any time).

    Ansaphone is correct.
