Always good to get the ground work out of the way early. If Shane Long's wife wants him to stay at WBA, and he's settled and willing to stay then its best to find out now. We can then move on and forget him.
I don't think it can be too far from Birmingham either way. Since his Mrs' friend said Birmingham is far enough you'd have to assume that's where they're living. If someone from Hull was considering moving I wouldn't say please don't, Dunfermline is far enough away as it is. The alternative though to run with the idea is that the friend lives in Birmingham. From there to Hull is what, 2 hours drive? If she didn't want her to move to join us as they'd be further away, then they must live nearer to Birmingham than a 2 hour drive, and it must be a fair amount closer, you wouldn't really be bothered about half an hour's difference if you were already 90 minutes away. They've got to be in the midlands.
I agree with the Hat. I think Doyle, Long and Hunt all live in or near Reading, from their days at the (Didn't they come through the academy?) club. I think whenever they've played at clubs further away (Hunt here for example) they commuted and had a pad here through the week. It's only 105 miles from Birmingham.
I agree. She's a Reading girl born and bred, and when he joined WBA I doubt he will have moved house as it's less than 2 hours away. So her "Birmingham is far enough" was likely just a comment on the distance from their home to his workplace.
In which case, why would the journey to see them for Birmingham based friends be so much bigger if he joined us that their friends wouldn't want it to happen?

She is one of those people that tweets about everything. She has been having a convo with a friend of hers about her friends underwear. She has been talking about what to buy Shane for his birthday. Someone suggested she give him a blow job and buy him a steak. She said steak was his favorite. One of our fans told her to stop ****ing trying to control his life. She told him to bore off. One of our fans have been talking about doing her. She hasnt responded to him. Some Reading fan said that she would change her mind if he got an offer from Reading. She said that he clearly didnt know her if he thought that. It goes on and on.

Can't help thinking that Mrs Long is in for a bumpy ride. Even if he stays at WBA now, she will face this again in 6 or 18 months time, and again and again during his career, finally ending up in Glasgow if she's really unlucky. Either that or he'll stick to midlands clubs and be playing for Alfreton town in 2 years time because he won't move anywhere outside her "area"
