Once again Cardiff are way ahead in this transfer window, I can get used to us being a rich club. jck
Looking at it one way, and you'd be forgiven for thinking we're rapidly becoming "Man U rejects R us". Another way would be to believe they were quality players just to be at Man U, and only moved on because they could afford better. A top club in Europe and SAF spent cash keeping them there. Solskjaer is either going to look narrow minded just selecting players that he knows from the past, or a fecking perceptive genius. Let's hope he's the latter and these guys are the real thing.
I worried about this on another thread. Option A - he knows these players better than anyone and can exploit that knowledge by playing them in a system to maximise their potential. He obviously knows what it takes to be a PL player and what the very best of the PL are like to train and play with every week. Option B - he has very limited knowledge/scouting network outside of the pool of players he has been involved with and is hoping they'll be good enough. I will add the price range he is shopping at means that a 2 from 3 success rate would be fine at PL level. MM spending £8m + on individual players meant those players simply had to be a success and the Cornelius debacle is no doubt a major factor in the breakdown of the Tan - Moody/MM relationship. Eikrem £1m, Diouf £2.5m and Daehli approx £2-3m (according to twitter) are not big numbers at this level.
Nice of you to attempt to sign our targets Cornelius and now Diouf Haha I joke, but good luck with Ole Gunnar Solskjær! I am sure you will stay up I saw somewhere that Eikrem will be going straight into your squad for the West Ham game, maybe a chance to prove himself to Ole Gunnar Shame we leave it till the last moment to do our business
I would imagine after seeing how much was spent and in the talks he was pretty sure he could get good players for far less and better players. With round five players he wants from personal knowledge and the fact sky seemed to be reporting Zaha could be on his way to us I think we should be ok. jck
stoke: we had times when we had to wait for maybe one or two players but these days we can just go and get who we want at will it seems. jck
To start with Ince had personal reasons not to join and it is not that he chose to go anywhere else. Zaha we might take on loan not as a permanent signing. As now various players were linked to us but nothing definite and we hardly know if any were even approached. Ibrahimovic was my own personal choice when others were giving their opinions on who they would like to see here, it was based on fact that he hinted he would go to Celtic a club we could easily outbid. Wanyama it was decided was asking too much in wages and the club also overpriced him, we could certainly have met the price and wages but we decided not to do that. Compare that to players we decided to get, Medel...Fraizer...Caulker...Bellamy...Kim....Noone Now we will get the players Ole has set out to get. jck
