Yes, it is too generous. No sign of Sergio Ramos? No Vincent Kompany? Three Juventus players? Bit of an odd list all round if you ask me.
Might be just based on how they've been playing this season, rather than their actual ability. Otherwise I think you'd have to say at least five of those don't belong.
he's the key to our defence. I don't think it's too generous. Admitedly I don't know anything about foreign leagues, but I'm sure any of the top 6 English teams would take Dejan over any of their other centre backs, apart from maybe Mertesacker at Arsenal (why isn't he in the list?).
Perhaps a bit of a stretch for the top 10 but we really do have a top class CB in Lovren, probably the most complete CB I've seen Saints have in my lifetime.
It's quite clearly a list of the ten CBs who are impressing the most at this moment. I think it's actually rather naive of some people to assume that The Sun actually thinks this lot are better than Ramos, Kompany, Thiago Silva, Hummels, etc. Those players just haven't been standing out as much recently.
Some, yes. What's your point? Have you watched all the players on the list? Even if this is based on current form, it's a weird list. Lovren has had a dip in form recently and there are no Arsenal or Chelsea players, the two teams with the best defensive records in the premier league this season.
