Looks like the 4-4-2 we've been using under Sherwood for the first team, to me.

Did AVB demand the U21s play 4-3-3 last season (in preparation for a seniors future) ??

I am trying to understand Sherwoods' involvement in the formation that worked so well
for the U21s last season. More so given it would have been a logical choice at the weekend
for how the Goons play in MF.

I thought that he should've just gone with Villas-Boas' preferred formation in that game, rather ironically.
I think that Sherwood's rather playing up to the whole Redknapp Lite thing at the moment though, so switching might've been seen as negative or a return to something that wasn't working.
Is a bit odd though, isn't it?

If the Academy is ditching 4-3-3 now that AVB is gone, fair enough.
But IMHO given the formation does seem to work, and Spurs on paper have a
squad more than capable of playing it, I would hope they don't tar it guilty by
    association with AVB.

Bit concerned our defense today conceded 6 goals against Charlton. All of the back four have been talked about as potential starters/cover for the first team. The OS glosses over it, can you enlighten us Spurcat?

No worries about the interim scores.
The U21s do have a bit of a rep for switching off when the damage has been done.

Sort of like the first team do when they've scored.

The U21s get 3-4 goals in front first though.

Highlights of the ridiculous 10-6 game:

Haven't watched it yet, but the Lamela goal's supposed to be good.

Even Chadli managed to score! Nice first half Hat Trick from Obika.

Thanks for sharing that PNP. Thought Chadli looked great, scoring a couple and the move and run he done for the 9th goal was brilliant. I know it's against inferior opposition but if only he could start to bring that more often into first team games, he'd be looking like the player he was at Twente.

Some great finishes from Obika, hope Brighton works out well for him.

So we kicked off, conceded a corner and then a goal all in the space of 1 minute. Impressive.

Just finished watching the video. Not one player celebrated a goal in that game. Not one... well except for Holtby who, after scoring a scrappy rebound, ran around with his arms out like a kid. Even if you don't rate him you've got to love that kid <laugh>
