Watched the first part of The 7.39 very good looking forward to part 2. It was on BBC1 so available on Iplayer.
Didn't think it was out until the 16th of January ? Looking forward to seeing that. Anyone seen Ancorman 2 yet ?
Breaking Bad gets better - would give it a solid 7/10 or maybe 8/10.... NOTHING approaches The Sopranos, however. NOTHING. Not even House of Cards, which is excellent.
The second film is a travesty that completely ruined a book I dearly love. Avoid it. Can't believe Peter Jackson betrayed fans (and his own love of Tolkien) like this. EDIT: Anyone else catch that Ch 4 documentary on the living dolls... Monday night I think? Think I saw Gerrez on it.
I watched the first few episodes of The Wire and just couldn't get into it. Seemed too American or something. Maybe I should give it another go.
Don't give up. The amount of characters and the dialogue is difficult to get to grips with at first but just let it wash over you.
The Wire pisses all over The Soprano's in my opinion. I enjoyed both, but for me everything about The Wire is better. Yoda the first few episodes set the scene really - don't give up, it's amazing TV once it get's going. Kind of makes The Soprano's look like a soap opera.
Finished season 2 of breaking bad, loved it. Still not watched past season 2 of the wire yet. Going to buy the rest from CEX.
