I think we get one ****ed up attempt to sign a striker every window don't we? It all wastes time while other strikers get snapped up, then hey ho we're back to counting the seconds left of the last night of the window.
Definitely. The next time we are linked with a player in the media, which will probably be next week, if I was a journalist Id be asking why we havent issued a statement denying he's on his way and does that, in fact, mean he IS on his way? All theyve done is make a rod for their own back.
To be fair, I thought Curtis Davies lived a lot closer to Hull than North Newbald, seen as himself, James Chester, Dudge and McShane seem to always be in Anlaby Retail Park! Everytime I go into Costa, one of them is in there. Adding to that, Chester and McShane are top blokes - stop to take photos for anyone. Sounds daft, but it's nice to see.
Does Mcshane live in the Leeds area? He's always here shopping anyway and he gets his hair cut at the same place as me. And before anyone asks, no my hairdresser isnt the source of all my City info He is best mates with Paul Green though and tells me lots of stories about him, Nigel Clough and TWS.
Chester lives down Beverley Road, Anlaby (it's about 2 minutes drive from my house) - had a chat with him in Sweethearts a few weeks ago. A few of the players live around that area - Dudge is one. Apparently McShane is there "often enough" lol.
oh the City transfer window saga.. other clubs release statements of new players signed up, we release statements that we haven't!!
Time will tell. The Daily Mirror is good for 2 things. Tomorrows chip wrapper and lining the bottom of a bird cage. Well he did enough to help grab a point for WBA against us when all seemed to the Baggies on the day. Agreed on 2 but not Zaha. Wife eh ? Never know when to shut up. Lol. Mrs Long can move in with Mrs Fryatt in the midlands and Long and Fryatt can flat share in Hull. Job done. TWT. He was talksport yesterday and yes he did. He said that they were very good deals for us if they happen.
We'll sign him, by the end of this week probably. He'll just have to drive up from the Midlands all the time like half of the squad already does.
Who is the Plan B should Shane Long not happen? As far as Bruce has stated, it is unlikely to be Fletcher. would it not be the be the end of the world to not sign anyone with Brady and Aluko to return at some point? I would think we would have enough to get over the line.
