as Winsor Davies would say " Oh dear, never mind" surely their russian billionaire owners are planning an assualt on the barca team as we speak, whilst drawing up the plans for their new 100,000 seater stadium!

Cotterill had no luck consulting the last owner. If he hasn't had in depth talks with the Russian owners by now, he must be worried and may consider a move elsewhere. Of course, it's possible he's met them, been promised millions and a new ground, but we mustn't dwell on that...

Few papers have been saying they could get hit by a transfer embargo, I doubt it would happen but imagine that!

I hear their pre season preparations have been thrown into turmoil as Wickes have run out of creosote, and wont have any in until August. This means their 8 playing staff will not be able to train with the rollers until the new season. tragic

It has to be creosote substitute, real creosote has been banned in the EU.

please accept my apologies for suggesting that the staff at Portsmouth FC invovle themselves in illegal activities with WMDs (i.e. real creosote) I just hope that there is no creosote involved in the pending legal trial for Mr Storrie and Mr Redknapp, and its just plain common or garden money tax offenses.

Apparently scientists put creosote on some test rats and it killed them therefore it must be dangerous to humans, or something like that.

Yet, strangely they also found it had no effect on anyone in Portsmouth.
