looking back, Sherwood's body language when questioned about it suggested that he knew all about it.

I just hope we're well underway with a replacement.

Sherwood didn't play him because I guess we couldn't afford to get him injured. Let's hope the number 13 is significant because we got £13M for him.

 

I wont be sorry to see Defoe gone, but - please god! - tell me that Levy has someone coming in and that Sherwoodie has not convinced him to promote Kane to the squad!

 

If Defoe really has gone then we surely have another striker lined up.

Kane has potential but is not ready - I fear though that Bentaleb's promotion to the squad/first XI could mean Kane gets the same. This was one of my gripes of having the youth boss promoted to head coach.

EDIT - the Mirror is claiming Juve are going to bid Mirko Vučinić + cash for Lamela.

I've just looked at Vučinić's stats on wiki - they're not great...

Sky Sports say Jermain Defoe will complete his move to Toronto on Monday, then expected to be loaned back to #THFC until March 1st.

 

Apparently he's being loaned back to us until March 1st. So perhaps we won't be getting another striker...

Good deal overall then really, £6m for a 31 year old and keeping him for 3 months is a great bit of business.

I don't believe Redknapp would take on another job trying to save a club in relegation. He's better off at QPR, getting them promotion and their chairman is loaded.

But you know Redknapp likes a challenge so he may go for it yet hope he stays at QPR.

We can survive 2 months with 3 strikers. We can go 1-up if we really need to with the attacking mids we have.
Then we'll get another one in the summer
