I would happily accept our current position if we were not playing like absolute ****ing ****. Thats the worst of it, utterly clueless football, entirely down to Moyes. its unacceptable.
With no cup finals or a trophy as KD delivered. However you are right that what we got was an improvement but that was only really visible later on. There was little sign of that improvement (and I mean very little) until after the Jan window closed. It was only once Sturridge started firing and Coutinho came in that we really started to play good football.
It's unacceptable to you because you're an impatient tart who's losing the plot Accept it.... Always look on the bright side of life
Trophies dont matter, you had clearly improved under him. Now of course Moyes cant really improve but he could at least maintain standards. He could at last try.
The brightside is he will be sacked if things continue. either way, he either somehow becomes a completely different manager to the one hes been his entire career, or he gets replaced.
Ffs That is the sure sign of a fan who never goes to actually watch their team because believe me trophies matter to those of us who do. Try a day out at Wembley if you get there for the COCup, you might actually enjoy it.....Are you Wenger in disguise? Your standards were so high under Fergie they were never going to be replicated by anyone...and yet you just expect them to be maintained Pull your head out of your arse UIR, things will never be the same again. Get used to it.
One fan - we'll never win any trophies under moyes = Glory hunter another fan - trophies are not the be all and end all = glory hunter Right now they dont matter.
What a ****ing great reply that was to you over on our board " You may have been **** at first, but you could see what Rodgers was trying to do. Tell me what Moyes is trying to do". Our boy - "Find the ring FFS". ****ing brilliant
The difference is the fan who spits his dummy at the first sign of a bit of hardship They're the proper prawn sarnie plazzy fans...you want to keep an eye out for them mate
My reporter mate (manc) said it's just like being a real supporter all over again. And if you don't turn them over at OT, it'll save you getting twatted 6 - 0 by City at Wembley
Knowing regular match going fans from Leeds, Burnley and Blackburn the image of a 'real supporter' tends to be one less interested in the football but more interested in how much violence they can witness of take part in. Not the best 3 examples thf.
I haven't asked him. He may be a manc, but he covers us and the blueshite. He hates the transfer window for obvious reasons.
With all due respect your last sentence is merely an opininon - who knows, even I might achieve if I was manager of the world's best XI players ... Following SAF into the United job was always going to be a huge challenge for whover took over ... rather like replacing Busby, Shankly, Jock Sten, Revie or Clough in their time ... arguably Liverpool did it the right (or least disruptive) way as the 'boot room' promotions were almost seamless (but did not involve a team on the decline) ... but United did not really have that option in any case. As a neutral I have been somewhat taken aback by the speed of United's fall from grace I'll admit - I'm also slightly baffled why Moyes went fo Felaini when he, more than most, must have had insight into the potential of Barklay and Coleman (that would be my double swoop rather than Felaini and Baines)... but they might have been out of reach who knows ... and nobody can know the ins and outs of the inner sanctum and what Moyes has been told he can and can't do etc - but you have to give him a proper go and for me that has to be a full two seasons - one to prune and one to build - it will then be fair to judge him. There is some very promising talent there but you do need to flesh the squad out with some more quality in the transfer window - personally I think he could do worse than seek to bring in Wesley Sneijder from Galatasaray as a shorter term fix to pull the strings in midfield (might also bring out the potential in Kagawa that seems to have been crushed) ...
