I can tell you a tale of Rodgers.....how he was given time Woy was a bellend but even him I didn't blame (although i admit I'm pretty much on my own there ). He was the yes man for owners who were draining our club dry AND he had us flirting with relegation. Moyes has your lot in a League cup semi, next round of the CL and not far off the top four places. Nice try UIR but keep them coming anyway....this is great.....so much for "always looking on the bright side of life" eh
I've thought about. We'd already waltzed the league, they were the final games of the season, and we'd just won the league for the third year in a row. Ergo, it's **** all like the current situation.
Rodgers started off slowly but what he was trying to do was obvious. This is the difference. Someone please tell m what the **** Moyes is trying to do.
Now that IS his biggest issue as I said to Ruff the other day. This is what I CAN understand you being pissed off about. His main mistake so far has not been transfers or performances etc it's that he hasn't given you lot a reason to be patient. If he'd come in and said it will take time but I want us to be build a new team around youth or I want to build a team that's so physical you will **** your pants just looking at them or a team that passes the ball so well you will fall asleep (Barca style) then you would look at each signing and judge him on what he's building. That should give you cause for concern but it's still not reason enough to be calling for his head after only 6 months though.
I agree here, he should have outlined a plan by now. By f**k, you couldn't shut Rodgers up about his, still can't. I don't think it's sack worthy to not have let us know what the idea is but it would be nice to know. * yeah, like Billy said. Which I hadn't read*
Moyes needs to write a dossier then we can all be happy If the plan is heavy investment in the playing squad or even clearing out the current dross in the playing squad then you can understand why he wasn't gone public with either of those two things.
Its not, there's no way in 2001 when you were 10 that you thought "**** me we've just lost 3 games on the trot, I wonder when that last happened". You were playing with your toys and being naughty like other 10 year olds.
Giving him funds probably wont help. First off who is he going to sign. unfortunately we cant rely on Uniteds name and appeal. Money Champions League Individual glory Club Manager Thats the way I reckon the modern player sees things. T
Yeah I made the same point 3 days ago but I'd already replied to the other one anyway No one is saying Moyes takes no blame of course he does but pinning it ALL at his door is missing the point. Sacking managers even if it brings instant success can often just paper over other issues that should be addressed and now. As Eric said about the Glazers, they have got away with a lot because Fergies success has masked their draining of resources. Fergie could cope with spending less and still win things because of how he had the club organised and centred around him but who else could do that though? It might just be that a bad season or two is actually good for you lot in the long run as it will open your eyes as to exactly where there are serious problems outside the managers office.
There is one other thing that will attract them though and that's the atmosphere.....sorry......just kidding
