    FIFA Batards!
Moving the WC to Winter will most likely effect our leagues for maybe 2 or 3 seasons, the one leading up to it, during and after the WC..
    Thanks Sepp you ****!

Cancel it. Give it to another country. Do it now.

  5. The season before may finish a couple of weeks earlier. The season in question could start and finish a couple of weeks earlier and later with a month gap inbetween. The following season would have to startslightly later too. IMO, thats not too big a deal.

However, what about the players that don't go to the world cup? Will teams play friendlies etc to stay sharp? Will they have a short break followed by mini pre-season type training?

Brazil isn't fairing much better either.......way behind schedule despite having longer than any other nation to prepare for it <doh> I bet the Russkie one will be a barrel of laughs too....classic FIFA eh. Sepp Blagger really couldn't organise a piss up in a brewery.

Rather depends on which bit of Europe you live in.

I agree with jonny, this will cause havoc with our league scheduling.
Really, who in their right mind makes decisions like awarding it to them in the first place? Everybody could see the insurmountable problems it would create.

FIFA deserve all the abuse they're getting..
They gave it to Brazil, who by the looks of it couldn't organise an orgy in a brothel
Given it to Russia with their great track record or human rights.. don't like Gays and not too friendly if you happen to be black/Asian/Ethnic
Qatar, no bigger than a small city, again not great when it comes to human rights and right now they don't have the infrastructure to host the games.

Where the likes of us (England), got all the Stadiums you'd need, loads of Hotels room, decent transport links and history/roots of the game and we've not seen the WC since 1966, thats a ****ing travesty IMHO!

Don't have an issue with Brazil though, a footballing nation. It shouldn't be held in Qatar for that reason, its like holding any type of sporting event in Scotland.

And we've got rain. What's the point of football without rain?

I don't have an issue with selecting Brazil but 6 and a half years after being given the nod they are still miles off being ready. So what have FIFA been doing all that time? Just sitting back and watching as nothing happens....what the **** do they actually do for football these ****s?

What we need is a whistle blower within FIFA to come out, with cold hard facts/evidence and blow the lid off the corrupt cronies at FIFA..
They need to be taken down and reformed with a more open and transparent governance process!

Like people at the top of all institutions, they exist to make a big fat profit out of them.

    injunctions, legal action etc etc.

Brazil is brazil. the camera will show completed grounds the stories will be of shambolic transport and the inside of stadia will be unfinished.

Qatar... should never have happened and i predict it will not happen. it will be moved to russia or some such other place.

If countries weren't already planning on boycotting Qatar for their slave labour, this is a perfect excuse to now.

It won't mate, as they've already paid for it..............handsomely.

They're far too many FIFA delegates who simply can't do anything other than vote for a winter competition now, as their noses have been firmly wedged into the oil barons trough.

What's laughable is that Qatar bid for a summer competition & FIFA delved 'so deeply' into their detailed presentation, that the little factor of the 50 degree heat was somehow missed. If it wasn't so hideously & obviously bent as a nine bob, then it'd be hilarious in it's idiocy.

I'm not overly fussed about it being in winter. Don't agree it should have gone to them if they can't host it in the Summer, but that's done now and not going to change.

Hopefully some of our players won't have made it and they can have a nice winter break to refresh and push on for league title number 25 <whistle>
