Does the England team not having Theo Walcott or Wayne Rooney being half fit mean Adam Lallana might get a seat on the bus or will a Manchester United reserve get the calling?
I am rather pleased to read this. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-tyne-25646092 How often have we had to put up with games on days and at hours to suit the local police? At one time cup replays could be played on the Tuesday or Wednesday after the original game, but then we were told that it didn't give the police time to get organized. Kick off times at midday that mean silly travel arrangements. Combine this with that TV company and the fans get a raw deal.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/25556245 Oh dear, so sad - two cup defeats in three days. Wonder how many more remote controls will be smashed in disgust....
Wonder how long Moyes will get in this money mad driven world where instant success is a must? As for the Sunderland v Newcastle stuff - I agree that its unfair to punish fans going to the games. Afterall the problems last season were outside due to people being drunk watching the game in pubs!
Why don't FIFA just come out and admit they made a mistake (or some buggers were taking backhanders) in awarding the WC to Qatar? http://www.theguardian.com/football/2014/jan/08/world-cup-qatar-not-summer-valcke-fifa I think I'd rather have Christmas and the Boxing Day fixtures left alone....
What an absolute pigs ear this is. All these international breaks already show how to muck up a season. The African Cup of Nations is set for January 2023, so players could disappear from their clubs for weeks. Maybe it will encourage clubs to get in players from countries that will not be in either competition, though I doubt it.
http://www.theargus.co.uk/sport/alb...ndow_watch__Bridcutt_makes_transfer_request_/ Rumour has it that both Bridcutt and Buckley are both wanted by Sunderland. If they went it wouldn't do much for Brighton except pay off a few debts.
Apparently the Aussies will launch a law suit now on the basis that the bids were made for a summer world cup. Quite how FIFA can argue that awarding the world cups to Russia and Qatar were about anything other than nice big bungs is beyond me.
Maybe they should just have the regular season Feb-Nov, and have Dec-Jan off every year It does show just how corrupt FIFA are... but will they be help account? Of course not. Until a few of the big nations decide to break away and form their own federation, it will remain the same. Next up... Platini!
Just how many decent players are available from Scotland, Wales, the Irelands & Botswana these days anyway?
N. Ireland lost to Luxembourg so I guess none of them count. Scotland have a decent player, a winger, he plays for an awesome team in the Championship, can't remember his name.... Oh yea, Anya Not too sure about Botswana's current international squad, and Wales seem to be pretty awful too (monkey-face doesn't count, he won't ever play for them now he's at RM)
The Malky-Tan spat gets more revealing every day... http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/blogs...rs-legal-action-against-sacked-115834358.html
I presume the owner had a say in who signed and for what fee. Any good businessman would ensure his money was being spent "wisely"? Feel a bit sorry for the young player who is seeing his name in the papers used like this! Be funny if he pops up with the goal that keeps Cardiff up...
Also, with the current conditions, a Toyota would be better than a Bentley - when was the last time a Bentley was in the wet stage of a rally?
Lots of fans have been hoping to get Nahki Wells to their clubs. Looks as most of them will be disappointed as he has signed for Huddersfield.
