No Champions League would be worse for you than relegation would be for us. A bigger financial loss and an exodus of quality players would result and might lead to a downward spiral similar to Clubs going into the Championship. Motes has to be on borrowed time.

Fergie didn't take over the champions, nor did he start off in a more financially demanding era when C.L money, sponsorships etc are essentially for top teams to remain competitive. One season probably wont make that much difference but beyond that and United will struggle like Liverpool have the last few years. Can't imagine all those kids in asia wanting to follow you in the Europa league too long. Moyes is on borrowed time and will never get the same grace Fergie did.
